A Return Trip Home

AN: Once again, like I've stated before, this is a crossover story using my WRPG characters and Kate's. E-mail all comments to FrankMayn@comcast.net

Yuki took Janet and Nekomata into the Rosa Candida. Immediately, Yuki took the cat-girl over to the hastily built armor section, while Janet took to looking at some of the latest fashions in Lunarvale.

"Meow... these clothes look so uncomfortable..."

"You'll be fine... You don't want to get killed again, do you?"

"Hiss... These clothes are so restricting... No room for my tails..."

"We can alter them for you!" The salesclerk said. Instead of being afraid of the fun loving demoness, the saleslady was fawning over her, talking about how cute she was.

While this was going on in one part of the store, Janet was practically drooling over a dress that was straight from Paris.

"That is one of the most popular designs from Paris..." Another saleslady was telling Janet.

Janet was ignoring the clerk. "How much is it???"

"Only $695, on sale!" The clerk said all too enthusiastically. Despite the city being torn to hell outside, she was still eager to make a sale.

"I'll take it! Janet said as she pulled some zenny from her purse, which she had managed to keep with her all the way from Windia.

"What... are these????" The saleslady asked as she looked at one zenny carefully.

"Zenny, of course..." The saleslady pushed the zenny back at Janet.

"Sorry, hon. We only take good old American dollars or Visa, or MasterCard..."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN..." The saleslady turned to Janet, glared at her, then went to put the dress in the back room.

Janet grumbled, muttering about how it wasn't her day. She turned to see Yuki at the counter, paying for some purchases using some odd green paper.

"Okay... let's get going... Frank and the others should be at the Peace Diner by now... I'd buy you some stronger bullets for that gun, but the Parabellum is closed..." Yuki said to Janet. Behind her, Nekomata was purring in content as she looked at some of the armor she had picked out.

"Whatever..." Janet said as she stalked out. Yuki and Nekomata shrugged in unison, before heading back into the shopping district.

While Yuki's party was at the Rosa Candida, Frank and Ellen took their friends over to the Peace Diner.

"So... wha's this Brad person supposed ta look like anyhow?" Diane asked Frank as she glanced at the menu board.

Ellen pointed to another teenager in a St. Hermelin uniform. Diane, Alex, and Kate all had to hold back their laughter as they spotted Brad's sense of taste.

"What the heck is he wearing???" Alex asked as they turned to look at Brad.

"Apparently, it's supposed to be the latest fashion..." Frank explained.

Even Kate was trying to hold back her laughter. "And those goggles on his head..." She stammered out.

"Shush... he's coming this way..." Ellen said quietly.

"Frank??? Ellie??? Seriously??? What're you two doing back in Lunarvale?" Brad said as he came into view.

Diane looked the teenager over and notice a spear with a retractable base along with some sort of gun weapon on his belt.

"Brad! It's great to see you again!" Frank said to his former classmate.

"Psh... I know... you guys missed me, didn't you?" Brad said before flashing a peace sign. At that moment, Yuki's party entered.

"Yuki! Welcome back! How is it out there..." Brad asked, before he noticed Nekomata and Janet. Brad wasn't surprised to see a Nekomata with humans, since they don't fight unless provoked. But when he saw Janet...

"Hey babe... I know you've been waiting for a guy like me to come along and sweep you off of your feet... Now how about I treat you to a burger and shake?"

Janet just looked at Brad like he was crazy, while the rest of the students, including Nekomata, were trying to hold back their laughter.

"Sweep me off my feet, eh? So where's your broom? Sorry, but I only like guys that natural selection hasn't been trying to weed out of the gene pool." Janet said harshly.

Brad was just about to put an arm around her, but stopped as soon as he heard what she had said.

"Ouch..." Was all he got out. The group of students then began to snicker.

Janet just raised her head, and took a seat at one of the tables.

It was then that Brad noticed the others that were with Frank, Ellen, and Yuki. "Hey... you must be the help that Philemon said would be coming... not that we need it, since I'm here..."

Ellen rolled her eyes. "Grow up, Brad... You know you're not the only one who can call on Persona..."

Brad shrugged. "So... who are ya? I've seen Nekomata out in the streets earlier. So the rest of you must be from the world Frank and Ellie were sent to."

Alex nodded. "I'm Alex Brandshire, and this is my sis, Diane." He said as he jerked a thumb at his sister. No sooner than he did this, Brad was over there hitting on her.

"So... you're from a different world... Woren, right? Philemon told us about the different races there... How 'bout I treat you to lunch?" Brad said as he slid an arm around Diane.

Diane shrugged him off. "No thank ya, sugar..." She said as she pushed his arm off of her. "And if ya try that again, I'm gunna make a new imprint in th' wall in th' shape of yer' body!

"... Okay..." Brad said as he backed off.

"This is Kate. Don't even think about it, Brad, or I'll turn you into an imprint in the wall!" Frank said as Kate "hid" behind him.

Brad glanced at Kate. "Okay Frank. I won't. I just have this odd feeling that if I do, something other than you is gonna pound the hell out of me..."

"You've got that right!" A voice rang out from behind him. Brad jumped, and was face to face with Tellka.

"ACK!!! Where'd you come from? And who are you?" Brad stammered as he backed up, stumbled, and landed butt-first into a chair.

Tellka let out a low growl. "That's my concern... And if you try to do anything to Kate, I'll be sure to make you pay!"

"Tellka... please..." Kate said quietly.

Tellka looked at Kate, and calmed down just a little bit.

"Er... why don't you guys get settled, and I'll go get us something to eat..." Frank said before approaching the counter.

After Frank brought the food and shakes back over to the tables, everyone began talking.

"Yuki... Brad... bring Frank and me up to date as to what's going on here..." Ellen said as she took a bite of her cheeseburger.

"Well, first of all, the demons out there are MUCH stronger than what had been in the city before..." Yuki replied, as she took a sip of her milkshake.

"Meow... please... don't remind me..." Nekomata said quietly as she stared at the others before deciding to eat.

"Frank... Have you heard of the Snow Queen?" Brad asked.

"You mean the demon that possessed Ms. Smith? Yeah... Philemon mentioned it... what about the Snow Queen?"

Yuki took on a dead serious tone. "We have to find the last pieces of the Holy Mirror to exorcise the Snow Queen from her... She's the reason why there are deadly demons out there now."

"Really? As for another question... why were we pulled into this? Hey... this is as good as the food from "The Tiger's Catch"..." Alex stated as he took a bite from his double Peace-Burger.

"Well... According to Philemon... he was given the option from a God in your world when he went to retrieve Ellen and Frank. He wanted Nate, but decided not to get him involved, due to what he went through with Alex, Mary, Chris, Mark, and Ellie here."

"God from our world? Ya dun mean..." Diane stammered out.

Brad shrugged. "He didn't fill us in on all the details, Diane. I suppose we should go to the shrine after we're finished up here..."

"Look... let's just do what we've got to do, so I can go home!" Janet muttered.

"Where's the shrine, anyway?" Kate asked as she took a tiny bite of her cheeseburger.

Frank pulled the GPS out of his pocket, and set it on the table. After pushing a button on it, a 3-D map of the city appeared, but seemed to shimmer in and out.

"Shoot... the barrier is really taking a toll on the signal... Anyhow, all we've got to do is head out the east exit of the shopping district and go in a straight line... We can cut through Sun Mall and take a breather there... Then we leave through the other end, cross the street, and turn left... We can cut around the Yin-Yan Convienience store, and walk straight to the shrine." Frank explained.

"Say what? I didn't get all of that? You lost me after 'We leave the shopping district.'" Tellka said sarcastically.

"Heh... just follow us then..." Frank said as he pocket the GPS.
