Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Frank, Brad and Yuki were talking to one another as they made their way to Frank's school, Windian High. As soon as the trio passed The Tiger's Catch, they were joined by Ellen and Ryan.

"Hey guys!" Ryan said as his tail flicked happily.

"What's up, Ryan?" Frank asked as he adjusted his backpack.

"Nothing, really... I'm still thinking about that dance this Friday..." Ryan said as he went into the famous Chiba thinking pose.

"What man? If you think you're gonna go?" Brad said as he eyed the woren. Sonya took that moment to emerge from Brad's jacket. The little pixie flew up to the Persona User's shoulder and sat there with her legs crossed.

"Why don't you? It's not going to do you any good to just stay home..." Sonya said as she stared at the woren.

"Um..." Ryan said as he stared back at the pixie. "Don't this beat all? Er..."

"What?" Sonya said as she flitted her wings lightly, before tossing back her blonde hair. "Oh yeah... I forgot... you haven't seen me yet. I'm Sonya, a pixie!" With that, she swooped from Brad's shoulder and flew at the woren, stopping in front of him and hovering in mid-air.

"I'm Ryan...Ryan Chiba. A pleasure to meet you, Sonya..." With that the woren extended a finger to the pixie, which she shook energetically.

"Well bro..." Ellen said as she adjusted her red neckerchief. "Are you going to go to the dance?"

"Well..." Ryan said again as his tail flicked thoughtfully. "I should. It's not going to do me any good just sitting around at home..."

"That's the spirit! Ryan, I'll even go with you. Okay?" Yuki told the woren as she smiled.

"All right, Yuki... Um... pick you up? Or..." Ryan started before Frank jumped in.

"Actually... We should talk about this at lunch... discuss what we should do..."

"That seems to be right, Frank..." Ellen said before thinking about something else. "Hey... I wanted to ask... What about Persona?"

"Well?" Brad said as he began to comb his hair. "What about them?"

"No no no... Remember what we did back home? Before all that crap with SEBEC?" Ellen said to Brad.

"Heck yeah... we played Persona... Dammit! Mark still owes us all lunch!" Brad exclaimed as he recalled the events of that one fateful day back at St. Hermelin.

"We'll get him if he ever comes over, Brad..." Frank said with a chuckle, before turning to Ellen. "What about Persona, Ellie?"

"I was wondering... what if we were to do it again? Play Persona, I mean..." Ellen said thoughtfully as she placed a hand to her chin.

"That's a good question, actually." Yuki said as she looked at the blonde Persona User.

"What's a good question?" Nate asked as he walked toward the group.

"Hey Nate..." Frank said as he watched his friend approach. "We're wondering what would happen if we played Persona again."

"Psh..." Nate muttered as he adjusted his scarf. "Probably nothing... We're already Persona Users..."

"It still couldn't hurt to try, dude... I mean, something could happen again..." Brad shot in as he looked at the snob.

"Like what? We're Persona Users! End of story! Jesus, Brad... you can be such an idiot at times!" The snobbish Persona User said with a sneer.

"What'd you say, Richie Rich?"

"What did you call me, Brad?!"

"Dude, you heard me!"

"Guys..." Frank said as he stepped in between Brad and Nate.

"Kami-Sama, Nate..." Yuki said with a sigh.

"What's wrong with you?" Ryan asked as his tail flicked in worry.

"Nothing's wrong with me, furball!" Nate snapped at the woren. Before he could say anything else, Ellen had walked up to the angered Persona User and backhanded him.

"Don't you DARE talk to my brother like that, Nathaniel!" Ellen said coldly.

Nate winced. All of his friends knew that he hated being called by his full name. As he rubbed his face, he turned to Ellen, and noticed that she had her hands on her hips and was glaring at him hatefully.

"Okay, okay..." Nate said as he looked at Ellen. "I screwed up... Ryan, I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it Nate." Ryan said as his tail waved happily.

"Well... I think we should try it... the problem though? I doubt Ms. Smith would let us use her classroom, after what happened back in St. Hermelin." Frank said thoughtfully.

"I doubt any other teacher here would let us... I mean, there would be questions..." Ellen said thoughtfully.

"I guess it's up to me then..." Nate said with a chuckle. "I could ask Mr. Vagger. He seems to be the type of person to let us do it, without asking any questions."

"Why did you call him Mister? He prefers just to be called Vagger, Nate." Ryan said to the Persona User.

"It's a habit, one that I'll try to lose. I'll ask him after class today. Don't worry, Frank. I don't think we'll try to invade your classroom again." With those words, Nate just began to laugh uncontrollably.

"Funny... very funny." Frank said with a grin. "Okay... I'll do it. Who else is in?"

Ryan shook his head. "I would, but I've got something to do after school today... Mom needs me to pick up some supplies for the restaurant."

"I may as well, just to prove you all wrong..." Nate said to the other Persona Users.

"Oh yeah? How about you put your money where your mouth is? If something happens, you buy us all dinner at The Tiger's Catch. And if not, I'll treat." Brad said as he looked Nate straight in the eyes.

"You're on, Terranama!" Nate said with a tone that showed he accepted Brad's challenge, and was confident in winning.

"I'll go... And I'll ask Janet to help us out." Yuki said to her friends.

"Janet? Why her? She's..." Before Nate could finish, Yuki had interrupted him.

"She's my friend, Nate. And no, don't give me that WINGS crap. She broke the group up." Yuki said with a glare.

"So that rumor was true..." Nate said thoughtfully.

"You would have heard it earlier, if you weren't so one-sided all the time!" Ellen said to the snob. "Count me in, Frank."

"All right... I'll ask Kate later to help us out." Frank replied to his friends.

The five Persona Users and one woren continued to talk about various things as they finally stepped through the gates of Windian High School. Frank scanned the crowds, and noticed Diane and Chris talking to one another.

Without a second thought, Frank excused himself from his friends and made his way to where the two woren were talking to each other.
