Life at Windian High (Part 2)

It wasn't every day in Windian High that you got to see one student holding another off the ground by their collar. Tym admitted this as her tail wagged back and forth.

Granted, the student that had been held off the ground was Luke Mickel, the wolf that Tym currently had a minor crush on. Also, his opponent was standing in to protect a woren, and Tym couldn't for the life of herself understand why.

However she had gotten to see one student lift another student off the ground by his collar, and then listen to the both of them threaten to do bodily harm to one another, and that was enough to make her day. In all honesty, her day was really looking down until this point. Before heading off to school, Tym was unable to find her math homework that she had spent all of last night working on. Her first period class was a surprise quiz that she hadn't been ready for, and she was just in an overall grumpy mood that day. Then lunch came around, and her attention was caught by the sound of yelling. Looking up, she spotted the crowd that was gathering around a couple of teenagers, and naturally she was attracted to the idea of a fight breaking out like a moth would be attracted to a lantern.

"What was that all about?" Amber looked up as she saw Tym returning to the lunch table that she shared with her three friends. The wolf girl held a huge grin on her face, her tongue lolling out in an amused pant as her tail wagged back and forth.

"Heh, I just got to see Luke and that one guy... uh..." Tym itched her furry neck with a clawed finger as she thought. "You know.. that one guy who almost split his head open on his skateboard a few days ago? He's got that weird... dead people thing about him..."

"Uh..." Chelsea paused. "Oh! You mean Frank!"

"Yea, him." Tym flashed her friends a toothy grin. "Anyway, I got to see him and Luke threaten to beat the crap out of each other next Wednesday at the Colosseum, so I'm gonna head over there next week and watch them kick each others asses."

Sabs turned and stared silently up at her friend. After a few seconds of silence, the human clicked her tongue and shook her head. "Tym... you're morbid.. you're a sick, morbid individual, you know that?" Tym's only response was another lolling grin.

"Kate, you really need to learn to stand up for yourself! Stop depending on other people to fight your fights for you!"

Tellka... Kate batted an uneasy ear as she sat down next to Frank. The Persona User turned to his girlfriend, noticing her uneasiness and gave her a concerned look.

"Kate? You alright?"

"Huh?" The woren's ears perked a little as she looked up at Frank. With a smile, she nodded. "I am. Just some things on my mind. Heh.. was thinking about Tellka..."

"Oh." Frank chuckled as he guessed at what Kate meant. Out of their entire group of friends, the only people who knew about the bond that Kate and Tellka shared together were Frank, Nate, and Neko-Chan, and even then, Frank was probably the only one who knew the details about that bond. Often times when Kate seemed troubled, she dropped hints to him that it was due to a mental conversation between herself and her guardian.

Kate batted an ear again and waited for Tellka's voice to start up again. It didn't. Tellka?

"We'll talk later."

The young woren was interrupted gratefully from her worry about Tellka as Frank turned to her again. "Kate..."

"Hrm?" Kate looked up curiously, her tail waving slightly. "Yes, Frank?"

"We," Frank motioned with a nod of his head towards the other Persona Using Teenagers before giving his girlfriend a curious look, "We're gonna try something after school. We're gonna play Persona, something that we did back home. Can you help us?"

"Persona?" Kate flicked an ear in wonder. "But Frank, I thought you already have Persona?"

Frank chuckled. "No, Persona, it's a game. It's something we did before we received our powers... When we did it, odd things just kinda happened."

"Um..." Kate batted an uncertain ear. "I don't know? What do I have to do?"

"Not much really." Frank smiled. "We just need some extra people. So what do you say?"

"I guess so?" Kate shrugged, her tail waving in slight interest. "You said after school? Where are we going?"

"Nate got an okay from Vagger for us to use his room, so we'll be in there."

"Alright." Kate smiled at Frank. She nibbled on a half of sandwich that Frank had given to her for lunch, thinking curiously about the game that apparently had given her boyfriend his powers. A few seats down the lunch table, Yuki was now turning to Janet to ask the windian the same question that Frank and proposed to Kate.

"Say Janet," Yuki started, "I was wondering... can you help us with something after school? Nate got permission to use a classroom so we can actually do this."

Janet raised an eyebrow curiously at the Japanese teenager and chuckled. "I love how you just phrased that entire question without actually letting me know what it is you want me to help you with... are you doing a project or something?"

"Actually... it's something we did back home... The day we received our powers, we played Persona. We want to see if anything will happen now, since we're Persona Users."

Janet looked at her friend thoughtfully for a minute. "Uh... well..." It seemed like a strange request to her. But then again, there's been a whole lot of strange things happening to me... oh Landon, why not? "Sure." Janet offered a chuckle to her friend. "Which classroom?"

"Mr. Vagger's class." Yuki smiled at her friend. "Thanks Janet, I was hoping you'd help out."

The group of teens continued happily through their lunch time until the bell sounded for forth period.
