It was after school at Windian High. Frank Maynard walked out of the school's auditorium, and made his way to the school's gym. The Persona User had a lot on his mind, and most of it had to do with what happened earlier that day."Frank!!! Hey Frank!!!" Kate's voice rang out over the crowd of students.
The Persona User looked up and noticed his girlfriend waving at him. Beside her, Janet Meyers was giving him a look of interest.
"Kate!!!" Frank said as he weaved his way through a throng of students. Instantly, he was face to face with his girlfriend.
"Hey Frank..." Janet said as she continued to eye Frank with curiosity. "Say... what happened at lunch? You just took off running..."
"A lot, Janet... someone had the nerve to start insulting Kate, and was possibly going to harm her... I wasn't going to let that happen... but now, I've gotta fight the jackass in the coliseum next Wednesday..." Frank said with a sigh.
"Wait... you? Fight in the coliseum? That's something I thought I would never hear... Who is this guy anyway?" Janet asked with interest. If she had wings, by now, they'd be twitching in curiosity.
"I didn't get his name... but he was a forest clanner..." Frank replied to the Windian.
"Luke... he's Luke Mickel..." Kate said quietly, as she shuffled her feet lightly before hiding behind her boyfriend.
Janet just shrugged. "Sorry... the name doesn't ring a bell... anyway... Yuki said something about Vagger's classroom? Persona?" Janet asked, still just a bit confused.
"Yeah... we're gonna play Persona, Janet... I'll tell you both what to do when we get there." Frank said as he slipped an arm around Kate.
The three continued to walk through the halls of Windian High, until they reached Vagger's classroom. Nate was standing outside, tapping his foot and looking at his gold watch.
"Don't even say it, Nate..." Frank said as he approached the classroom. "There was never a set time for us all to meet here."
"Whatever..." Nate grumbled as he entered Vagger's homeroom. Frank just shrugged and followed the irritated Persona User in, along with Kate and Janet. As soon as Janet had entered, Yuki closed the door.
"Everyone is here... good..." Ellen said as she looked at her friends. "Frank, I think you should be the one to start..."
"Okay..." Frank said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Who else? I need three others..."
"I'll join in..." Yuki replied.
"I'll go third." Ellen said to the others.
"Psh..." Nate muttered. "I may as well go fourth, just to prove Brad wrong..."
"You'll be sorry Nate!" Brad yelled to the Persona User. Nate just rolled his eyes.
"Er... Frank?" Kate said after she tugged on her boyfriend's sleeve. Frank turned and noticed that her tail was waving in confusion. "What did you want us to do?"
"I need you, Janet, and Brad to stay in the center of the classroom. Janet, can you hit the lights?" Frank explained and asked.
Janet nodded and cut the lights off in the room. Each teenager shed their backpack before taking their appropriate place in the room. If one entered, they'd notice that Frank was in the upper left corner of the room, Yuki in the upper right, Ellen in the lower right, and Nate in the lower left. Janet, Kate, and Brad were in the center, watching the other four curiously.
Frank cleared his throat, and started the "game", "Persona, Persona... please come to us..." The Persona User walked over to Yuki, and gave her a nod, letting her know that it was her turn.
"Persona, Persona... please show yourself..." Yuki said quietly, before walking south toward Ellen. As soon as the Japanese teenager was in front of Ellen, she gave her a nod as well.
"Persona, Persona... please come forth..." Ellen said quietly. She then walked over to Nate, and nodded. The snobbish Persona User just rolled his eyes.
"Damn... Why am I doing this?" Nate muttered as he rolled his eyes.
"Just do it! This is for all you can eat at The Tiger's Catch!!!" Brad yelled out. Janet and Kate just looked at him curiously.
"Fine. Persona, Come here..." Nate muttered as he walked over to where Frank had started.
"Here it comes..." Brad said as the students gathered in the center. However, nothing happened.
"HAH!!! I told you!!!" Nate said before laughing heartily. "Pay up!"
Brad was about to say something, when Janet's eyes went wide. The Windian pointed a shaky finger to the back of the room. "Uh... guys..."
Kate shivered as she noticed that the room had gotten considerably darker, and a light wind began to kick up.
One by one, each Persona User turned to look at what Janet Meyers was pointing at.
There was the spirit of a female light dragon, floating above Vagger's desk. In Frank's mind, Nina was screaming out who she was, since she recognized her.
"Sara..." Janet said quietly, as she kept her eyes on the female light dragon.
Sara smiled at the group. Like her brother, Ryu, she had dark blue hair and green eyes. She was also dressed in white robes and had violet clothing beneath. Calmly, the spirit of the light dragon raised her arm, and all of a sudden, bolts of lightning began to rain down around the room.
Kate began to scream hysterically. Her screams died down, though, when Frank drew her into a close embrace. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck Nate, knocking him to the ground with a startled cry. As Nate began to fall, it was like slow motion. As the Persona User fell, the spirit of Sara flew over to his body, and actually merged with his soul. Nate hit the ground quietly, and was out for a few minutes.
**************************** Huh? What the...
Nate was looking around his subconscious, and was obviously confused. Suddenly, he was approached by the female light dragon, and was confused even more.
"Who are you???" Nate demanded. Sara shook her head, and began to speak to the snob.
"I am you, Nate... You called out to me... a part of you that you rarely use... In reality, I am Sara, the sister of the first Ryu. Philemon and Ladon allowed me to come back to be one with you..." Sara explained. Through the entire speech, she never did lose her smile.
"What type of Persona are you... and why me?" Nate asked.
"Philemon told me that I am an Empress Persona, whatever that may mean. And I chose you, because... it saddens me... You are missing something in your life... and you need comfort..."
Nate Trinity was shocked. He was going to say something else, when something brought him back to the world of the living.
**************************** "Nate!!! Hey Nate!!!" Frank yelled as he shook his friend.
"Ugh..." Nate said quietly as he worked himself into a sitting position.
"You had us worried..." Ellen said quietly. "It's like what happened back in St. Hermelin..."
"I'm okay... I just talked to someone named Sara... I've got a new Persona, I think... I'm not sure yet..." Nate replied as he managed to stand.
"Well..." Brad said as he approached the snob. "Pay up! I won! You owe us all dinner at The Tiger's Catch!"
Nate grumbled. "Fine... I'm a man of my word. Tonight, after I get off at Angelic Relics..." The Persona User counted the people in the room. "Dinner for seven, on me..."
Janet just grinned when she finally found out what Brad had meant earlier. Kate too, seemed to be talking to a certain someone in her mind.
Quietly, the group of seven left the classroom. Out of the group, Nate wandered off to work, while the others headed to the auditorium for some practice.
