Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"Good night Alyson..." A male, white furred woren said to his daughter. Upon further inspection, he had the same blue eyes as Alyson, but had chocolate brown stripes instead of the reddish black ones that she had. The woren also had short, dark brown hair atop his head.

"We'll see you tomorrow morning, hon..." A red haired human said with a smile. She also had blue eyes, and had an arm wrapped around the older woren. It was obvious that these two were Alyson Van Horne's parents.

"Night mom, dad..." Alyson replied to her parents. She watched as both of them retired to their room for the night before she closed her own door. The young woren closed her own door and changed into a pair of gray athletic shorts and an orange t-shirt before undoing her ponytail, letting her reddish brown hair fall loosely to the middle of her back.

Alyson Van Horne sighed as she stared out the window, taking in the sights of the Windian night.

The dance... It's tomorrow... and I still don't have a date... The white furred woren let out a small sigh as she watched the sky flash in the distance.

Heh... I wonder if that's some sort of sign... Come to think of it... Alyson thought about the guy that she saw in the park back on Saturday. I wonder... I've never seen him at school before, and it seems like everytime I try to find him... I just come up short...

As a flash of lightning lit up her bedroom, Alyson moved over to her special trunk and took a seat on the lid, continuing her thoughts.

Those two that I glued to the lunch table... The white furred woren let out a light chuckle as she thought about the prank she had pulled on Chad and David earlier in the week.

Come to think of it... Where have they been? I haven't seen either one in the classes that I share with them... It's like they've vanished off the face of Torana... I just wish I could have seen their faces though, when they opened their lockers!

The steady drumming of raindrops splashing against her window echoed through the room. With a sigh, Alyson grabbed her battle staff and went through some slow practice routines.

I'll go to that dance... The white furred woren swung her staff gracefully, adding a short jab at the end of the swing. Maybe... just maybe... Alyson twirled her staff above her head and lashed out quickly, her body illuminated by a flash of lightning. Just maybe... I can finally find him...

The white furred woren stretched once more and toweled herself off before retiring to bed. Alyson let the sound of the falling rain slowly drive her to sleep. If one listened to her, she could be heard purring in her sleep.
