Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Friday morning in Windia...

Frank was downstairs, making sure that his guitar was tuned for the big dance later on in the day. While the Persona User was busy doing this, Neko-Chan milled about upstairs in the room that the two shared.

Meow! I'm going to school with him!!! Purr... The nekomata was excited, to tell the truth. Frank stopped in the doorframe and was chuckling lightly.

"You're really excited, aren't you???" The Persona User said before chuckling again. Neko-Chan whirled around and smiled at her brother before purring loudly.

"Meow!!! Of course I am! Purr... I get to spend the day with you, instead of having to stay at home!" Neko-Chan said as both her tails lashed about in excitement.

"That's what I came up here... to talk about..." Frank replied as he took a seat on his bed. The Persona User patted the area beside him, inviting the demoness to come and sit. Neko-Chan cocked her head curiously before nodding enthusiastically and taking a seat next to her brother.

"Neko-Chan..." Frank started as he turned to his sister. "Mom and I were talking... and she told me how bored you've been every time I go to school."

"Meow..." Neko-Chan said as she looked at the blue sheets that were on her sibling's bed. "Jess is right, myah... You don't know how bored I get... meow... I mean, that day you stayed home..."

"I figured as much..." The Persona User said as he looked at the nekomata that was sitting beside him. "Mom and I were talking about it, and we came to a decision..." Neko-Chan looked at him curiously and let out a light sounding mew that made Frank chuckle lightly. "Sis... how would you like to go to school with me everyday? If you say yes, mom's going to enroll you to- GAH!!"

The Persona User didn't have the chance to finish his sentence. Neko-Chan had a wide grin on her face before taking Frank into a kitty hug, nearly knocking him off the bed.

"Myah!!!" Neko-Chan said happily. "I would love that! Purr... I'd even get a chance to learn about this world!!! Meow!!! THANK YOU FRANK!!!" The nekomata hugged the Persona User even tighter while letting out a loud, audible purr.

"Neko-Chan... I know you're happy... but... please let go? I need oxygen..." Frank said while underneath the grasp of a happily purring catgirl demoness.

"Meow? Sorry Frank..." Neko-Chan said before letting go of her brother.

"It's okay..." Frank said before catching his breath. "Well... I'll go tell mom that you said yes... So she can come by the school later and enroll you. Sis... I'll see you downstairs, okay?" The Persona User said as he pat his sister on the head, making her purr in delight. After she nodded at the teenage human, Frank went downstairs to join Brad and Yuki, and to talk to his adopted mother.

Meow... this is so... so... Purr... Words can't describe it! Meow!!! The Nekomata's two tails were still lashing about in excitement as she looked around the room. Her attention was soon drawn to the bound book that Frank had left on his desk.

"Myah???" Neko-Chan said in confusion as the shining light from the clasp drew her closer to the book much like a light would attract a moth. She noticed the book on his desk and cocked her head once more in confusion.

"Meow... his memories... Purr... he's just been so tired lately... He keeps forgetting to put them up..." The catgirl picked up the book and was about to put it away, before curiosity once more got the better of her. Instead of sitting on Frank's bed like she usually did, Neko-Chan took a seat at Frank's desk, crossed her legs, and began to read a random entry as both her ears and her tails twitched in curiosity.

Hell... it's been a long day... full of ups and downs... May as well start with the ups...

The good news is that the Battle of the Bands was today... Man, that was awesome!!! I don't remember dances like that back at St. Hermelin... We never drew that many people when my friends and I played... Alex, Ellen, and I usually made news at school when we sang at the dances back home... but those were nothing compared to what we had just done...

I swear... this dance attracted everyone... everyone from Windian High was there... along with some students from other schools... Honestly, nothing back at my old school did anything like that.

Heck, we even managed to get Ray in! Though we had to disguise him so WINGS wouldn't try and start something... All of my friends went to the dance... it's a shame Neko-Chan couldn't come... Anyway... she would have loved it...

Neko-Chan blinked. "Meow... he really wanted me there..." The Nekomata just buried her face into the journal as her whiskers began to twitch slightly.

Anyhow... our band, The Blazing Dragons, went up against WINGS. The rules were simple... Each band was to perform five songs... two by a male singer, two by a female singer, and one duet. I chose to sing It's My Life and Johnny B. Goode, while Ellen chose to sing Carnival and My Heart Will Go On... Alex, not the one mentioned earlier, but Alex Brandshire, and Ellen did our duet. Ellen had the lyrics, and she and Alex did a cover of A Whole New World. WINGS had their own songs as well, but we gave them a duet... I can't remember what the song was, but I know it came from our world...

To make a long story short, our band won. And Nate, Ellie, and I played one last song before all of us decided to head out and celebrate. The song that we chose was Kryptonite by Three Doors Down. After singing the song and shamelessly plugging the band, we went to a carnival that was in town. And that, is where things took a turn for the worse...

Well... the carnival started out okay... I won a doll for Kate, and Nate tried his luck at a combat booth which, unfortunately, featured Tellka as the opponent. Ray decided to give it a shot as well. While he was taking Kate's guardian on, I went to grab us something to eat... and that nearly got me killed.

Ellen's stalker was there, dressed completely in black and ready to kill me... His name was Chris... Chris Fallon... But it turned out that he wasn't responsible for his actions.

All this time, we thought that he was just an obsessive asshole... Boy were we wrong... It turns out that he was possessed... possessed by a demonized Persona from Lunarvale that wanted us dead for the role that we played in destroying the Snow Queen.

Hellcat... that Persona now just makes me shudder... The Snow Queen made two of them mortal... and they wanted us dead... One went so far as to follow us here to Windia to finish the job. Luckily, Chris managed to gain control and ask for help. We obliged, and killed the demon as soon as it left his body. But we couldn't have done it if WINGS wasn't there to help us...

Chris came to his senses, and well... nearly lost it when we told him what Hellcat had done... He said he didn't deserve to be around us... If we don't help him... who knows what he'll do?

Anyway, it's late... I have school tomorrow, and mom's going to introduce me to the new employee. We need help... and I think she's still looking for another after this guy... Maybe I'll ask Diane...

Frank Maynard

Neko-Chan closed the book and placed it back on the desk. "Meow... I was right... when I sensed that wasn't a woren... but now... purr... it's all good... Meow... Chris is a nice guy... purr... and Diane's a great friend. Meow! Those two are puuurrrrfect together!"

Neko-Chan glanced at the journal once more before heading downstairs to join Frank, Brad, and Yuki. After a brief conversation, the four of them headed over to Windian High to start yet another day of school.
