Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Some people are morning birds. They can awake at the crack of dawn, and be up, full of energy, and ready to conquer the day. Some people take a little longer, perhaps finally rousing at noon and stumbling out of bed with mild energy in hopes of bludgeoning the day. Some people are known as late starters, not really opening their eyes until 3pm, with enough determination to atleast get up and maybe annoy the day into submission... if they feel like it.

Tym was a late starter trapped in a house full of morning birds.

Linda Black's ashen muzzle was pointed towards the stairs and her nose flared in annoyance. "Tim." She turned her attention to the young black wolf sitting at the table behind her. Tim's ears perked up and his blue eyes shone wide as he looked up at his mother. Linda motioned with a nod of her head towards the upstairs. "Go make sure your sister is up, I don't want her being late for school..." Linda turned back to where she was packing her children's lunches. She finished her sentence with a sighed "again...." as she heard her son racing up the stairs.

Timothy ignored the 'Beware,' 'Trespassers Will Be Eaten,' and 'Tim get the fuck out of my room' signs as he scratched on his sister's door and peeked his muzzle into her bedroom. Tym was sprawled across her bed, head buried in pillow and her grey blankets wrapped around her like saran wrap as her little brother slowly made his way over to her bed. He leaned forward and sniffed the air around her, tail wagging just slightly.

"What the hell are you doing." Tym groaned as she glared up at her little brother through a crack from under the pillow.

"Smells like something died in here, and I'm trying to figure out if it's you." Tim's maw opened and his tounge lolled out in a grin. His sister just continued to glare at him.

"Shut up. Get the fuck out of my room."

"Mom says you've gotta get up or you'll be late for school."

"Fuck off."

"I'll tell mom you're not moving."

"So tell her and see if I care." Tym closed her eyes again. Her little brother immediatly did a 180 and headed to the door of the room, shouting down the stairs.

"MOM! She won't get up!"

"Teresa!" Linda's voice called back up. "You'd better get up right now young lady! You know what your father said about getting another detention for being late!"

Tim turned back to his sister and flashed her another wide grin. "Mom says you need to get up."

Tym just let out a groan and attempted to bury herself even further into her blankets and pillow. "You need to get out of my room, you little shit, before I pound you into the floor. The little black wolf just ignored his sister's threats as he began to snoop around her room.

"Oh!" He made his way over to a deformed looking sculpture that was made up of a couple of random bird wings, a snake tail, assorted animal limbs, and an unidentifiable skull. "What's this?"

"Get the fuck away from Catastrophy you little punk!" Tym shot out of bed, her fur standing on end as she faced her brother with a snarl. The little wolves eyes went wide and he bolted for out of his sister's room, screaming.

"MOOOOOOMMMM! A MONSTER ATE TERESA AND NOW IT'S IMPERSONATING HER!!!!!!!"

"Son of a bitch..." Tym groaned as she threw her pillow back over her head. "Please just let me sleep until noon..."

"No good." An all too familiar braying laugh filled the room and Tym looked up with startled and hateful eyes at the stallion girl who was now standing in her doorway.

"Where'd you come from?"

"I snuck up here while you were yelling at your brother." Chelsea shook her mane in amusement. "Amber and Sabs are downstairs, they're too frightened to come up here." She brayed again in amusement. "Now get up and get dressed or I'm just going to drag you to school by the tail."

"You'd do it too." Tym groaned as she finally rolled out of bed. "Alright, alright I'm coming..."

Some people are born morning birds.
