Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Lucy and Ray both turned to watch Frank go. The blue-haired teen held a perplexed look on his face as the auditorium doors swung shut behind the Persona User. An unsettling silence lingered in the air, awkward to the trio seeing as how just a few moments ago the whole room had echoed with the song Frank was singing. Finally Ray broke the silence as the dragon turned timidly to his raven-haired girlfriend.

"... what was that about?"

Lucy shrugged, not bothering to turn to Ray and his question. She merely kept her eyes trained on the auditorium doors, a considering look in her face as she thought over Frank's recent action. "I don't know." But it seemed like there was something on his mind. The windian finally placed a smile on her face, shattering the thoughtful expression that just been in her eyes as she turned to the dragon beside her. "It was a nice song though, what did you think about it?"

"The song?" Ray rubbed the back of his neck as he made a thoughtful gesture. "Well, I thought it was a nice song. Frank's right though, definitly not dance material." The dragon chuckled lightly as his gaze moved down toward's his girlfriend, he found himself staring into her vibrant blue eyes for just a moment. "But yea, I thought it was a nice song..." Some of the lyrics Frank sang continued to echo through his mind as he gazed down at the windian just beside him. I will be king, and you will be queen, we can be us just for one day.

"Yea I thought so to." Lucy's casual voice seemed to snap Ray out of the strange trance he had just fallen into. In a heartbeat, Lucy took Ray's hand and pulled him towards the auditorium doors. "Come on, I'm hungry, let's head out with our friends." The raven-haired windian then shot a glance over her shoulder at Janet. "Janet? You coming?"

"Hm?" Janet turned to look back at her friend who was already mostly to the doors, dragon in tow. She smiled. "Yea, I'm right behind you. Save me a seat?" Her question was answered by the sound of the double doors swinging open and then shut once more. Janet, however, stayed rooted in her spot, staring at the stage, her mind going in circles about thoughts, different yet all connected.

There was something in his face... The windian mused to herself. After he sang that song, I saw something in his eyes... it only lasted for a moment Janet thought about the look that she was sure she caught creeping into Frank's eyes But I know it was there... Perhaps it had to do with that song? Heros... we can be heros, just for a day. That right there, it just makes me think of well... I guess I'm not sure. Janet just shook her head and with a sigh, turned to leave. I'd better go catch up with the others before they wonder.
