Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Fifth period, Photography Class...

"Perfect!" Ellen said happily as she plucked her now dry pictures from a line. Truthfully, she took photography because of her boyfriend's interest in it. But now, she's happy that she enrolled in the class, since it was a great hobby, to say the least.

The Persona User looked at the pictures that she had taken recently. These came from her personal roll of film, not the one that she had used for class. Ellen had several shots of Phen and Neko-Chan, and was planning on using them to update her journal. She left the dark room and closed the door behind her before making her way back to her desk.

These shots are just what I needed... I never did get a JackFrost or a Nekomata during The SEBEC Scandal... or the Snow Queen Incident... Then again... I lost my digital camera during the SEBEC Scandal...

Ellen Johnson took a seat and fished out a binder that had the St. Hermelin logo on the front cover. To most normal people, this just looked like an ordinary binder. But this simple tool has saved many a Persona User. Within the confines of plastic and cardboard was information that was important during their adventures. In fact, what Ellen was holding was her Demon Journal, and she kept it up to date.

"Hmm..." Ellen said quietly as she flipped through the pages of her journal, stopping at one demon. "Kariee... These were in the Police Department..."

However, the Persona User wasn't alone... Tym Black noticed the demon in her journal, and was immediately drawn to Ellen's desk much like a moth would be drawn to a lamp.

Ellen whistled as she continued to leaf through her journal. Finally, she reached a section containing all the hermit class demons that she and her friends had encountered. A nekomata was one of the demons that she had not seen until she met Neko-Chan a few months ago. As she was preparing the data sheet for the Hermit Class demon, a gray muzzle poked over her shoulder, startling the blonde haired Persona User.

"Ohh... what is?" Tym asked the Persona User in a curious, childlike voice. All Ellen could do was giggle at the forest clanner.

"This is my Demon Journal..." Ellen said to the curious girl who was peeking over her shoulder.

"Demon?" Tym said as she lolled her tongue out in a panting grin. "Hey... you're in that band..."

"The Blazing Dragons?" Ellen said as she turned her head to face the wolf that was peeking over her shoulder. "Why yes... and you're the one who moderated The Battle of the Bands..." The Persona User offered a smile to Tym. "I'm Ellen. Ellen Johnson."

"Hey, I'm Tym..." Tym said to the Persona User before looking at the journal on Ellen's desk. "Demon Journal???" The wolf let out a slight whimper before setting her gaze on the binder on the desk surface.

"Well..." Ellen said thoughtfully. "I was about to update it... I guess I can show it to you."

"Great!" Tym said happily as her tail began to swish back and forth happily. Immediately, she took a seat beside the Persona User, and glanced at what she was working on.

"This..." Ellen said as she pasted the picture of Neko-Chan down on the data sheet she had prepared. "Is a Hermit Class demoness... a nekomata."

"Um..." Tym said as she looked at the picture of Neko-Chan, who had a hand on her hip, was bending at the waist, and had a kitty grin adorning her face. The wolf let out a low whimper and just looked at Ellen. "Don't you think she's kinda... well... cute?"

Ellen just giggled at the forest clanner sitting beside her. "Nekomata rarely like to fight, but they will to defend themselves, or people close to them. In fact, Nekomata are fun loving demonesses."

"Er..." Tym said before she was distracted by another data sheet that Ellen was preparing. "What in Ladon's name is that thing?"

"A JackFrost. A Lover's class demon, Tym..." The Persona User replied before pasting the picture onto a new data sheet.

"It's... a snowman..." The wolf said with a whimper. Tym looked at the picture and noticed that it was a little snowman dressed in blue, waving at the camera.

"Well... a JackFrost is an ice elemental demon... one of the weaker ones, but don't underestimate it's strength." Ellen explained to the wolf. All Tym did was whimper once more before turning to look at the Persona User.

"This is nice and all... but... don't you have anything a little... well... meaner???" Tym gave the Persona User a pleading look as her ears continued to move back and forth.

"Ah... so you're interested in Major Demons... not Minor Ones..." Ellen said as she flipped to the section containing some undead demons. "These aren't major demons... but still..."

Tym looked at various pictures of normal zombies, zombie girls, zombie boys, Dead Nurses, and zombie cops. As she looked at the undead monsters, her tail began to wave back and forth happily. "Now this is what I wanted to see..."

"That's not all..." Ellen said as she flipped back to the section of Hermit class demons. "Take a look at these."

"Whoa!!!" Tym cried out before yipping in excitement. "Those look cool!"

"They may look like weretigers, but they're not." The Persona User explained to the wolf. "In fact, these demons can talk and are extremely well versed."

Tym was going to say something else, when the bell rang, ending the period.

"I've gotta go, Tym..." Ellen said as she packed up her books, including the Demon Journal. "I don't want to be late for music class. It was nice talking to you."

"Ellen!" Tym yelled out to the Persona User.

"I'll bring it back on Monday, don't worry! I know you wanted to look at it a little longer!" And with those words, Ellen left the classroom.

"... But..." Tym scratched the back of her neck as she thought about the things she had seen in Ellen's Journal. "What were those things? Hermit Class? Lover's Class? What?" The wolf just yipped in confusion at everything she had seen. She left the classroom confused, and decided to ask Chelsea about it later in the day.
