Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"Janet! Lucy is here!" Janice Meyers called up the stairs to her daughter. "Hurry now, don't keep her waiting!"

"I'm coming, Mom." There was the sound of a door closing and footsteps, and soon Janet appeared at the top of the stairs. Her mother nearly did a double take as she stared in wonder.

"Janet! Where did you get that dress?"

The windian was walking down the stairs, her hair done up in a bun and she was wearing the Victorian dress Frank had bought for her back in Lunarvale. She just smiled at her mother as she twirled in place. "Isn't it pretty? A friend bought it for me a while back, and I've just been waiting for a good time to wear it."

"Well you look gorgeous, Lucy, don't you think?" Janice smiled over at the dark-haired windian who gazed and Janet and nodded in agreement. Janet beamed happily and even blushed a little as she headed towards the door.

"Thanks mom."

"Now dear, have a good time, and don't stay out too late." She kissed her daughter on the cheeks and sent her out the door with Lucy.

"You really do look nice." Lucy smiled at her friend. "Who gave that to you?"

"Frank did." Janet twirled. "Isn't it nice?"

"It doesn't look like any sort of pattern I recognize." Lucy stared in wonder at Janet's dress. She just shook her head. "It's something rather special, hard to find." She chuckled as the two returned to where Ray was waiting at the fountain. Lucy walked over and linked her arms with the dragon, and Jane took a step back to stare at the two as they stood infront of the fountain.

"Aw.." She gave a smile as she cooed. "You two look so adorable together.."

Ray blushed. Lucy just giggled as she kissed the dragon on the cheek. "Come on, the others are waiting for us at the Tiger's Catch. We shouldn't keep them waiting too long."

Janet nodded. "Well come on, let's go then." The three headed out of Upper Windia and made their way to the Tiger's Catch to meet up with the others.
