Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"Where are they..." Frank said to no one in particular as he leaned out the door of the restaurant. "Oh, wait... never mind..."

"Dude... what?" Brad started as he watched his friend back away from the restaurant entrance. Sure enough, Diane Brandshire burst in, laughing heartily as her tail lashed back and forth. Chris was the next one to enter, chuckling as his ears bat in amusement. He smoothed out his necktie, while Diane tended to smoothing out her blouse.

"I won!" Diane said as her tail flicked about happily.

Chris just laughed as his tail lashed about in amusement. "Only because you had a head start..."

"Oh really?" Diane replied as she whirled around to stare at her boyfriend. "Ya think ya could've beaten me? How 'bout we race ta school?" The younger Brandshire said as she gave Chris a taunting look.

"I'll pass." Chris replied as he smoothly slid an arm around Diane. "I know you could beat me any day of the week."

"Yer jes sayin' that..." Diane replied, before letting out a low, throaty purr. "Not tha' I dun mind..."

The two woren cuddled for a moment, before a flash separated both of them. Diane let out a growl and saw her brother, standing in front of them, with his camera still in his hands.

"Bro..." The younger Brandshire said threateningly. "If tha' picture ever gets developed..." Diane narrowed her eyes at her older brother as her ears flattened against her head. "It'll be one of th' last things you'll ever do... Just remember, I know where you sleep..."

Alex just laughed at his sister while his tail continued to wave in amusement. "Therein lies the problem. See, I know where you sleep as well! So I could get you before you even think about getting me!" The older Brandshire said before beaming in self accomplishment.

Diane gave her brother her patented 'look of death'. "But I kin git ya NOW before you ever git that chance!"

Alex looked at his sister for a moment before letting out a small squeak and taking off running around the restaurant.

"GIT BACK HERE WITH THA' CAMERA!!!" Diane yelled as she chased her brother.

Yuki just chuckled, before she drew her own camera and took a snapshot of the two siblings. Soon after, Cynthia arrived, and she watched brother and sister chase one another. The wolf girl let out a yip of amusement before she broke out into laughter.

"Cynthia!" Chris said as he approached his friend. The woren looked the wolf girl over and smiled. Cynthia was wearing a dark green strapless dress that contrasted nicely against her chocolate brown hair and her light crown fur. "Cynth..." The woren continued as he smiled at the wolf girl. "You look great..."

The wolf girl blushed under her fur as her tail wagged slowly. "Thanks, Chris... I have to say, you look great as well..."

"Thanks..." Chris replied as he ran a hand through his jet-black hair. By now, Ellen had managed to step between the two siblings, earning a great tiger hug from her boyfriend and a chuckle from Diane. Yuki also managed to get a picture of that as well.

"What?" Diane said as she stomped toward her boyfriend. "I leave ya alone, and yer cheatin' on me?"

"Wait! Diane!!!" Chris said as his tail flicked back and forth. "I wasn't..."

"Chris..." Diane said as she gave her boyfriend a serious look. "I was kiddin'... ya dun have to be serious all th' time..."

"Er..." If it was possible, Chris's fur could have turned a deeper shade of red. Diane leaned up and kissed him, before she chuckled lightly, her ears batting in amusement.

Ray opened the door to the restaurant, and held it open for his girlfriend and Janet. Both Windians thanked him as they walked in, and soon after, Ray followed.

"Wow... Janet..." Kate said as she looked at the Victorian dress the Windian was wearing. "You look great in that dress..." The woren said as she looked Janet over.

"Huh?" Frank said as he stepped beside his girlfriend. "Hey... is that..."

"It is, Frank. Thanks again..." Janet replied before twirling in her dress, showing it off to everyone in the restaurant.

Lucy raised an eyebrow at what Frank and Janet were conversing about. Frank bought her that dress? Interesting... just where did he get it?

"Lucy?" Ray asked as he looked the raven-haired Windian over.

"I'm fine..." Lucy replied to the Light Dragon. "Just thinking, that's all..."

Brad finally noticed his date, and let out a low whistle as he raised his sunglasses. "Damn... Janet! You look great!"

Janet actually blushed when she heard the compliment come from the egotistical Persona User. "Thanks Brad..." Was all that the Windian could say to her friend.

Before long, the entire group left the restaurant, ready for the dance. But as Janet was leaving...

"Brad?" Janet said with a sigh as the Persona User stopped her. "What are you doing?"

Brad said nothing, but dropped his sunglasses back onto his face. The egotistical Persona User opened the door, swept the area while holding a hand to his ear, and mumbled as if he were talking into an earpiece.

"Okay..." Brad said as he kept a hand to his ear. "It's clear..."

Janet let out a sigh as she left the restaurant. Why me?

The two caught up to their friends shortly, and made their way to Windian High.
