Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"Do you think he'll look over this way anytime soon?" Amber's wide blue eyes were currently on Billy, the windian's small, puffy white wings twitching a bit as she watched him. Amber was wearing a light pink gown with a bouffant skirt, and an open white spencer. She was wearing her long blonde hair up in a chignon instead of in it's usual braid, and she had on her favorite pair of pearl star-shaped earings. She resembled something of a poofy pink princess.

"Well don't stare at him! Cheezus!" Sabs directed Amber's attention away from the cowboy windian. "That's the last thing you want him to see if he looks over this way, you just gappin' at him like that." She chuckled as she took a sip from her punch glass before glancing over in Billy's direction. Sabs was wearing, of course, a Tunlan style dress. Sleeveless, very fitting, and falling to a bit above her knees, it was colored by multiple designs and shapes, each colored a vivid blue, red, orange, yellow or green. She was also wearing fishhook earings with long dangling and colorful beads on them. She was, like usual, possibly the most colorfully dressed student at the dance.

"Aw c'mon now, I leave for five seconds and already my two dates are oogling over someone else?" Tym was panting with amusement as she walked up to where her two friends were standing near the refreshments table. If Sabs was the most colorfully dressed, then Tym had to be the least colorfully dressed. The grey wolf was wearing a black suit and white dress shirt. Her outfit was actually almost identicle to what Brad was wearing, dark sunglasses included. Since neither Sabs nor Amber had dates for the dance, Tym had decided to dress up in a suit and tie and bring her two friends as her 'dates,' however Amber and Sabs hadn't been expecting that, so when Tym showed up at Amber's door dressed like she was and made the comment 'Hello, my name is Tym. I'll be your gentleman for the night' neither girl had known out to react. Sabs was immediatly reduced to a fit of giggling and laughing while Amber had just stared dumbfoundedly. The three girls were off to the dance before any of Amber's siblings were able to see the trio and make fun of them, however Tym was already cracking jokes about having a girl on each arm for the night.

"We're not 'oogling'!" Amber's wings puffed indignantly.

"You're right." Tym flashed a full-toothed grin. "You were doing this!" The wolf then proceeded to make an expression, bugging her eyes out in a look of total shock, her jaw dropping an her tongue hanging out dumbly. Sabs give her a quick sock to the shoulder.

"Cheezus! We were not! Now close your mouth before you start drooling all over the place!"

Tym let out a noise that sounded like a strange mix between a snicker and a growl. "Well if you weren't oogling, then what were you doing?"

"We were talking." Sabs finished off her punch and set her empty glass down. "And now I feel like dancing." The human made her way out onto the dance floor and began to dance along with the rest of the crowd. Tym's tail wagged back and forth and she turned to Amber.

"Aw, I think I've already gotten one of my dates mad at me."

Amber let out a little giggle at her friend, then headed out to join Sabs. Tym, being the non-dancer that she was, simply stayed posted at the punch table and continued to keep an eye on her friends.
