Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Lucy was nervous. Oh boy was she ever nervous. It wasn't that she wasn't used to getting up infront of large crowds, it was that she wasn't used to getting up infront of large crowds alone. Especially when it had something to do with music. Brandon was always out there in the crowd, I didn't feel as awkward when I knew that. A sick feeling built up in the windian's throat. She probably shouldn't be thinking things like that while she was infront of the entire student body and many teachers from her own school, it just wouldn't be too great if she burst into tears infront of everybody and couldn't preform. Still, she couldn't help it, this song was dedicated to her brother after all. Slowly, the windian closed her eyes and took a breath, trying to calm herself down.

And then, all of the sudden, it was all gone. The nervousness, the sick feeling, all of it was just gone. She couldn't place her finger on it, but for some reason everything just felt natural, okay, like it didn't matter at all. She could feel her spirits lift, and with a light smile, she began to play her song.

Janet was talking to Ray as The Blazing Dragon's had ended their song and Lucy took their place. Both turned to watch as the raven-haired windian sat down behind the piano. "She's looks a little nervous." Ray mused as he rubbed the back of his neck lightly. Janet nodded.

"She does. Weird, usually crowds don't bother her." It was then that she nearly did a double take. As she'd turned to talk to Ray, from the corner of her eye Janet could just about swear she'd seen Brandon standing up on stage beside his sister. Instantly she turned, eyes wide, and looked up to where Lucy was. Nope, just her. No one else up there with her. Weird... Janet watched as Lucy started to play.

Ray gave her a curious look. "Janet? Are you alright?"

"Yea.." Janet just shook her head again. "I'm fine. Just thought I saw something."
