Life at Windian High (Part 2)

The young woren teacher, barely looking more then just a few years older then most of the students, was heading over to the refreshments table to grab himself a cup of punch. Vagger, one of Windian High's few history teachers, as well as a wrestling coach, was just walking past a couple of conversing staff members.

He then promptly walked by again.

And then one more time.

The reasons for the repetetive passings had to do with one of the two teachers, specifically, one Saeko Smith, whom Vagger couldn't seem to pry is green eye from. Or his grey eye for that matter. Actually, he was quite surprised he'd never noticed her sooner, because right now he was having a hard time not doing just that. This fact suddenly became painfully clear when a student bumped into him, startling the history teacher, who promptly realized he'd been staring, turned a deep shade of red, and suddenly couldn't remember what it was he was going to do. It wasn't until he looked up in time to see two students walking away from the refreshment table (in a very odd manner at that) that he remembered, and headed over to grab three glasses of punch. Carefully making his way back through the crowd and over to Mrs. Wireman and Ms. Smith. The two teachers didn't seem to notice him at first until the grassrunner Science teacher glanced up and spotted him, ears twitching.

"Jim. I didn't realize you were one of the chaperone's here tonight." She pushed her specticals back up onto her nose as she spoke.

Vagger shrugged. "Ah well, I was trying to weasel my way out of it and my concience sort of caught me at the last moment, so here I am. You two ladies thirsty?" He offered out the punch glasses that he'd brought with him, and the two teachers took them thankfully. Ms. Smith took a sip before turning to Vagger.

"So you are..."

"Jim Vagger, graduated student of Windian High and came back to teach History." He flashed Ms. Smith a charming smile.

She returned the gesture. "I'm Seako Smith, a new teacher here."

"So you're the new one, huh?" Vagger's tail waved back and forth lightly. "Sorry it's been this long until I've finally said anything to you, but I do think I've seen you around the teacher's lounge every so often."

Mrs. Wireman continued to watch the two talk as she sipped her drink, ears twitching lightly. As she listened to the music, she couldn't help but think to herself, I certainly hope I don't end up having to chaperone the chaperones tonight...
