Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Janet was immediatly greeted by her mother's arms as she opened the door to her house. She could hear her mother crying as she was caught up in her hug.

"Young lady, where have you been? Do you have any idea how worried we were???? This is the second time you've disappeared... and for two weeks? Janet!!!"

"Mom...." Janet barely managed out a weak reply before she started to cry too. She hadn't even realized that the tears had been there until just now, but suddenly all of the stress of the past two weeks was coming back to her in a rush and all she could do was cry it out, there in her mother's arms. And her mother cried with her.

Janet's father was doing his best to get the two girls away from the front door and into the house. Janet finally pulled herself away from her mom, managing out a quiet "I'm sorry" before running upstairs to her room and slamming the door shut behind her. Janet's parents exchanged worried glances before her mother leaned against her husband began to cry again.

Janet threw herself onto her bed, sprawling out with her face in her pillow as she sobbed to herself. She was finally home, and she didn't want to leave it. Not for anything in the world. It seems like every time I step foot out of this house, something happens, and I'm forced to leave.. I just want to stay home.. A melodious chirping caught her attention and Janet looked up to see P-chan, her little pink bird, gazing down at her. P-chan fluttered its feathers lightly before singing a little song to the distressed windian. Janet allowed her self to smile a little at the bird. I think that's the most beautiful noise I've heard in a long time... With a sniff and a sigh, Janet curled up on her bed and suddenly felt exhuast overtake her as she fell into a restless sleep.
