Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Janet Meyers was slowly making her way to Windia High. It was one of those rare days where she would get to school early, and actually be on time for her first class.

The Windian opened the doors to the school and walked in, looking for Lucy. She spotted Yuki (Who had been sitting in as Frank's guest), and Brad talking to one another outside a set of lockers.

Oh great... Brad... Please Ladon... don't let him hit on me... don't let him hit on me...

Janet approached the two and waved. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw something sparkly fly and hide in the folds of Brad's jacket.

"Hey Yuki! Brad... it's been a while..." Janet said with a smile.

"Yo, Janet! How've you been??? Hey... are you fr-" the egotistical Persona User was cut short by an elbow fromYuki.

"Don't Brad... you're just going to embarrass yourself again..." The Japanese Persona User said with a sigh.

At that moment, something sparkly flew out from Brad's jacket. Both of Janet's eyes went wide as she saw the little pixie flying circles around the Persona User before stopping in front of his face.

"Brad... don't you learn??? You've got to be true to your words! Don't let your ego get in the way!"

Janet blinked as she watched the little pixie hovering in front of Brad give him a tongue lashing. She chuckled lightly as she watched both of them.

"Aww... sorry Sonya... It's a habit..." Brad replied to the pixie.

Sonya flitted her wings before flying up to Brad's shoulder and taking a seat there. "Don't worry about it Brad... I'll help you along the way."

"Um..." Janet said as she stared at the pixie on Brad's shoulder. "Brad... do you mind explaining???"

Sonya flew from Brad's shoulder and stopped in front of Janet. She kept beating her tiny wings to stay hovering in mid-air.

"Hi! I'm Sonya, a pixie! Nice to meet you! Um..." The pixie said. She cocked her head in thought as she looked at Janet. "Who... are you?"

Janet chuckled. "I'm Janet. Nice to meet you, Sonya."

"Janet... I know you! Brad talked about you when I met him! He said he missed you guys, and that you were one of his friends..."

"He said that?" Janet said before turning to look at Brad, who by now was kind of blushing. "Brad... thanks. I missed you two as well."

The pixie flew back to Brad and sat on his shoulder, giggling at the fact that he's beet red.

"So..." Yuki said before crossing her arms. "Why are you here so early?"

"Actually, I was looking for Lucy." Janet replied.

"Lucy?" Yuki replied. "Um... I don't think she's here... I haven't seen her since Brad and I have been here..."

"Okay... thanks Yuki... I look around a little more... I'll see you two later, okay?" Janet said to the Japanese teenager.

Both Persona Users waved as Janet left to look through the school.

The Windian was lost in her own thoughts. She was soon shaken out of them when she walked into one of the teachers that was heading toward a classroom.

"OOF!!! Janet???"

Janet shook her head and saw Saeko Smith talking to her. Ms. Smith was the teacher in St. Hermelin who Janet had helped saved. After a few events, the teacher had found herself in Windia, and decided to transfer over.

"Ms. Smith? I'm sorry..." Janet replied to the teacher.

Saeko shook her head. "Don't worry about it..." Ms. Smith adjusted her usual yellow sweater before looking at Janet again. "Actually, can you do me a favor?"

"I guess..." Janet replied.

Ms. Smith chuckled. "You sound so enthusiastic about it... Anyway, I loaned my teacher's edition of the English text to Mr. Windford. Could you please go to his classroom and get it for me? I've got a few more assignments to grade..."

"All right." The Windian replied.

"Great! Thanks Janet!" Ms. Smith said before unlocking her classroom and sitting at her desk.

Janet shouldered her backpack and began walking toward Mr. Windford's classroom. She knocked on the door and entered, seeing the teacher talking to Alex Brandshire.

"Mr. Windford?" Janet asked.

The teacher looked up from the pictures he was looking at. "Oh! Janet... what do you need?"

"Ms. Smith said that you had her teachers edition? She asked me to get it for her..." Janet replied.

"Teacher's edition..." Mr. Windford said before thinking. "Um... Mr. Stroschien has it. I loaned it to him, and he said he'd give it back to Ms. Smith."

"Okay... thanks." For nothing... The Windian left the classroom and made her way to the auditorium, where the drama teacher would probably be. Sure enough, she caught him right before he was about to enter the auditorium.

"Mr. Stroschien!!!" Janet said waving her arm as she rushed toward the teacher.

"Oh! Janet! What's wrong???" The Drama Teacher replied as he set his briefcase down.

"I'm looking for a book that Ms. Smith needs... Mr. Windford said that he loaned you her teacher's edition???"

Stro, as he was called by many of his students, thought for a moment. "Well... Actually, I loaned it to Mr. Allen... he said he needed to check something."

Janet sighed. "All right... thanks..." The Windian took off again and made her way to Mr. Allen's classroom.

"Janet..." Mr. Allen said as she walked into his classroom, looking exhausted. "What brings you here?"

"Ms. Smith... I'm looking for a book of hers... Mr. Windford gave it to Mr. Stroschien, who told me you have it... Please...tell me you have it..." Janet replied as she leaned against the door frame.

"Her Teacher's Edition? But... I gave that back to Saeko already..." Mr. Allen replied.

Janet blinked. "What?"

"I said, I gave it back to her already."

"That's what I thought. Thanks." Janet said as she wearily made her way back to Ms. Smith's classroom. By the time she got there, she noticed that students were now piling in and taking their seats.

"Janet! Did you find it?" Ms. Smith asked when the Windian came up to her desk.

"Actually... Mr. Allen said you had it already."

"Huh???" Saeko Smith said in surprise. She took her keys and unlocked a drawer in her desk. Sure enough, hidden beneath other books, was her Teacher's Edition.

"What do you know..." Ms. Smith said before looking at Janet. "Janet... I'm so sorry... I didn't know... I've been terribly busy lately..."

Janet just grumbled something that Ms. Smith couldn't hear.

"I know, Janet... you've got every reason to be angry..." Ms. Smith said as she made out a hall pass. "I'll tell you what. I'll make it up to you somehow, okay?"

Ms. Smith handed the hall pass to Janet, who took it grudgingly.

"Go on, get to class. I'll see you later, okay?"

Janet left and made her way to Mrs. Wireman's classroom, grumbling about what she had to do. As soon as she opened the classroom door, Mrs. Wireman turned and glared at her.

"Ms. Meyers... late again? I've warned you... Report to detention after school." Mrs. Wireman said sternly.

"But... but!" Janet stammered as she fumbled for her hall pass.

"No buts! I'll see you after school!" Mrs. Wireman said with a glare. She turned back to her lecture as Janet angrily took a seat.

Great... I must be the only one on Torana to be early for school and late for it at the same time...

"MS. MEYERS!!! Are you with us???"

"Yes ma'am..." Janet said as she opened her notebook.
