Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"Candi? You alright?" Justin watched as the blonde-haired windian sat down next to him. Candice's only reply was a glare in the direction that Yuki and Janet had left before she turned her fiery gaze to Justin.

"Just that bitch over there. Do you have any idea what she had the nerve to call me?"

"I could take a guess." Chad immediatly stuffed a bit of his salad into his mouth and chewed innocently as Candice glared over at him.

"Excuse me? If you've got something to say to me Wingston you'd better say it to my face."

"Ithz wazza meth..." Chad shook his head and pointed to his full mouth. Candice gave him a disgusted look.

David chugged down his second carton of milk and unwrapped his third sandwich as he spoke. "Translation: It wasn't me."

Candice rolled her eyes. "Don't you two have teachers or something you should be bugging?"

"Nah..." Chad swallowed his mouth full of salad and speared a few more peices of lettuce. "It's just not the same."

"What, still mourning the loss of your boyfriend?" Candice raised an eyebrow at the brown-winged windian and Chad, who was about to take another bite of his salad, simply put his fork down quietly. David looked over at him uneasily before turning to Candice.

"Geez, Candi... mind letting up on the guy a little?"

"Why?" Candice shrugged her shoulders. "Your own fault Jason's not around anymore. It's not like you even tried to keep him in WINGS." She flipped open her thermos top and took a drink. David and Chad exchanged glances before turning to her.

"What do you mean by that?" Chad sat up, stroking his goattee thoughtfully as Candice rolled her eyes.

"Oh please. This is Jason we're talking about. If you want to get him hanging around you two again you just have to do something to get his attention..." Candice looked at David and Chad for a moment, both of which were staring at her intently as they absorbed her words like a sponge. Candice felt a light smirk tugging at her lips like she normally did when she had people's attention in the palm of her hand. Running her fingers lightly up and down her thermos side, she leaned forward, placing her elbow on the table and propping her chin up on her hand. "I mean, come on. Who knows Jason better then you two groupies do?"

"Yea but..." Chad fidgited his wings uneasily. "You haven't seen him since he's come back... he seems so... different..."

"Oh please." Candi rolled her eyes. "Two weeks is hardly any time to change someone like Jason! I'm telling you, all you've got to do is pull off some stunt to get his attention and he'll be all over you in a flash."

"Some stunt..." David cracked his knuckles idly as he considered Candice's words. "Like what?"

"Well you three were little hell raisers." Candice rolled her eyes and took about sip from her thermos. "Do something extreem, he'll be bound to notice. Like..." Candice glanced over to where Yuki and Janet were talking, considering the two teens for a moment before her gaze wandered and she found the table where Frank and company were sitting at. She smirked a bit as she spotted Lucy sitting next to Ray, and then turned back to Chad and David. "Like something having to do with that dragon. Jason never could resist a good opportunity when it came to the dragon."

"The dragon?" Chad and David exchanged glances for a moment. "I don't know..." Chad stroked his goattee again. "He's always around a group now... can't ever catch him alone anymore."

"So then don't go after him specifically." Candice shrugged. "He's got a little sister, doesn't he?"

Chad and David exchanged glances again before turning a bewildered look back to Candice. "Candi..." David shook his head. "You are evil..."

The blonde-haired windian simply shrugged her shoulders. "Hey, you want to get Jason's attention don't you? I'm willing to bet that it'll work." Candice smirked at the two again before returning to her lunch. Chad and David simply looked at each other for a moment, exchanging a look that said 'it's an idea......' and then slowly went back to eating their lunch.
