It was a cool night in Windia. However, that didn't deter Frank Maynard from going stargazing with his girlfriend.As the Persona User left the Reverse Edge, he tugged his custom leather jacket closer to his body. Currently, he was wearing a Property of Windia High Sweatshirt and a pair of blue jeans.
It's a bit cool tonight... Heh... luckily, we're not due in for a snow storm... not like the time we had to fight the Snow Queen... and she played with the weather here...
Frank continued his walk towards the Harlow home. The Persona User rounded a corner and continued his journey, enjoying the nighttime atmosphere in Windia.
This isn't all that bad... Torana's not as bad as Earth... Seems like it's safer here as well... Back home, it's rare that people could go out at night without having to worry about crime...
Eventually, Frank had made it to Kate's house. He tugged his jacket around himself again before knocking on the door. This time, instead of Ms. Harlow opening the door, Tellka had answered it.
"Oh... it's you again." Tellka said with a smirk as her tail waved in amusement.
"Same back at you." Frank said before chuckling. "Anyway... is Kate around?"
"Yeah... she's been waiting for you. Come on in." Tellka replied as she let the Persona User in.
Frank walked into the house, and sure enough, Kate was sitting on the couch, wearing a blue sweater. At the sound of Frank's footsteps, her ears perked up, and with a "Myah!!!" She leapt of the couch and tackled him.
"Frank! It's great to see you!" Kate said happily. Currently, the woren was perched atop the Persona User, her tail waving happily.
"It's great to see you too! Um... Kate? We can't go anywhere, unless you get off of me..." Frank said in kind of a hushed voice.
Kate looked at her "prey". Frank was currently pinned under her, twitching. Tellka was doing her best to hold back her laughter.
"Oops... sorry Frank..." Kate said as she hopped off of her boyfriend. Frank immediately jumped up and dusted himself off.
"Aww... it's okay Kate. Anyway... ready to go?" Frank said as he offered his arm to Kate, who accepted it with a purr.
"I've already let Carrie know about where you two are going." Tellka said as she stood in front of the staircase. "Take care, you two."
"Bye Tellka!!!" Kate said happily as they walked out of the house. Frank had a look of confusion on his face. As they both rounded the corner, the Persona User finally asked the inevitable question.
"Uh... Kate? She didn't try to butt in... How did you manage that?" Frank asked as he looked at Kate.
"Well..." Kate said quietly. "I had to promise her something else... Frank, tomorrow... I've... got to fight in the coliseum."
"Say WHAT???" Frank said after doing a double take. "Kate... please... don't you remember what happened..."
"I do, Frank... But... I don't know... Tellka told me that nothing will happen this time... but... Frank, will you be there? I'd be more comfortable, knowing that your out there watching me..." Kate said as she leaned closer to her boyfriend.
Frank wrapped an arm around Kate. "You don't have to ask me twice, Kate. I'll be there, cheering you on, and keeping you out of harms way. I'll tell you what, I'll even heal you afterwards, if you need it, okay?"
"Thank you Frank... I appreciate it." Kate said as she looked up at her boyfriend with a smile. As she did so, she wrapped her tail around him again.
Eventually, the two made it to Windia Park and found their usual bench. Frank sat down on one end of the bench, while Kate curled up beside him, resting her head on his chest.
"It really is a nice night, Kate... Though a little chilly, mind you..." Frank said quietly as he stroked Kate's hair lightly, making the woren purr in delight.
Frank and Kate looked upwards at the constellations, happy to be with each other on a cold, Windian night. The light from the moon lit the area that both of them were in, giving it more of a romantic feeling.
"Wow... look at all the stars..." Kate said quietly before purring in content.
"Tell me about it, Kate... it's so astounding... just knowing that there are so many out there to count..." Frank replied in a hushed sort of voice.
Kate looked up at Frank with her innocent blue eyes. "Frank... Do you think they're alive? The stars, I mean. We look at them, but do you think they gaze back at us?"
"Hmm? What do you mean by that, Kate?" Frank said as he wrapped an arm around Kate to keep her warm.
"Well..." Kate said as she looked skyward again. "I used to watch the stars at night, and sometimes, I wondered what it would be like to live in the sky... Then one day, mom told me that daddy was up in the sky, watching down on me, and I wondered, if he was one of the stars. Now I know..." Kate said with a sniff. "That mom's up there too. Somewhere, watching over me... Frank, do you think she's a star too? Maybe... all the stars were once people... and now, they're all watching down on us, and what we do..."
Frank was taken aback. A few memories from the Persona User's past flashed through his head quickly. He shook his head slightly, before looking down at Kate.
"Maybe so, Kate... You know... if that's the case... Perhaps..." Frank said quietly as he looked skyward again. Kate looked up at her boyfriend and noticed a tear running down the side of his face. "Mom and Dad... maybe they're watching over me as well..."
The two continued to watch the stars, before Kate noticed a familiar sight.
"Look Frank! A shooting star! Like what you told me about the other night!" The woren said as the tip of her tail flicked about happily.
"Go ahead, Kate. Make a wish!" Frank said as he continued to stroke his girlfriend's hair lightly.
Kate closed her eyes and began to think out a wish. Suddenly, Frank's voice broke her out of her thoughts, since he was now beginning to sing. The woren's ears perked as she listened to the words flowing from Frank's mouth.

Kate looked up at Frank. "That... that was beautiful, Frank..."
"Thanks Kate... You know, in all honesty... I hope... your wish comes true..." Frank said with a smile, before he gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Both Frank and Kate continued to gaze at the stars. Eventually, Frank covered Kate with his jacket to keep her warm. With a purr, she turned back to the stars, continuing to enjoy the company of her boyfriend.
