Life at Windian High (Part 2)

After Kate had fought her fight in the coliseum and had won, Frank made his way out of the spectator's area and over to Kate's dressing room. The Persona User stopped outside of the door and began to think.

That was quite a punch that guy gave her... I'd better switch to some of my stronger healing spells.

Frank looked around to make sure that no one was watching. Apparently satisfied that there was no one around, the Persona User raised an arm.

"Persona change... WINLAN!!!" Frank said in a normal tone. Immediately, three images of the Persona User split from his body and circled around him. One image settled back into Frank, with the other two images in tow. After Frank had successfully changed his Persona, he knocked on the dressing room door politely. This time, Tellka answered it, but unlike when they first had met, she was not swinging her staff at him.

"Hey Frank..." Tellka said as she leaned in the doorway. "She did pretty well, don't you think?"

"Yeah... considering this was her first real fight..." Frank replied.

"No it wasn't. Her first fight was against you, remember?" Tellka said as her tail flicked impatiently.

"I hardly think that really counted... considering what had happened that day... Anyhow, how is she? That was quite a blow she took..." Frank said as he crossed his arms and held his skateboard in one hand.

"She's hanging in there... Kate said her face was hurting... especially her jaw... You're going to heal her?" Tellka said as she eyed Frank.

The Persona User nodded. "It's the least I could do for her... besides, I promised her last night that I would..."

Tellka finally led Frank in. Kate was sitting at the desk in the room, holding an ice pack to her face. She looked at Frank, and tried to offer a smile, but couldn't do so since she was in pain.

"Jeez... That looks bad, Kate... the ice isn't helping... your face is still swelling up... Hang on... I'll help you..." Frank said quietly. He heard Tellka close the door behind him. The Persona User turned, and was given a nod from Kate's Guardian.

Frank turned back to Kate and gave her a smile, before he pointed an outstretched hand at her.

"Persona!!!" Frank said in a normal voice. Immediately, a circle formed underneath the Persona User. From that circle, a column of soft, blue light shot up, enveloping Frank. Wind and magical energies continued to kick up around the Persona User as a beam of light shot out of the top of his head and enveloped into Nina Winlan.

Nina looked at Kate and offered a gentle smile. "Complete Heal!" the former Windian Princess yelled as she pointed her rapier at Kate. Immediately, the woren was engulfed in a soft, golden light. Kate could feel the swelling in her face come to an abrupt stop and began to heal. After a few seconds, her face was back to normal, leaving only a slight tingling sensation. Frank lowered his arm, and Nina, the column, and the circle faded back into his soul.

Kate rubbed her face gently, noticing that everything was healed. She purred in appreciation before she pounced at Frank.

"Thank you Frank! I feel better now!!!" The younger woren said as she landed on top of her boyfriend, pinning him to the ground.

"ACK!!!" Frank said as he was floored. Behind him he could hear Tellka laughing her heart out.

"You know Frank..." Kate said as she looked at her boyfriend. "I owe it to you... you're the reason I was able to pin him..."

"Heh? How is that???" Frank asked. Kate just leaned closer and looked him in the eyes.

"If you didn't let me pounce you every so often... I wouldn't have had enough practice to pin him..." With that, Kate gave him a kiss on the forehead, making the Persona User blush profusely. Finally, Kate hopped off of Frank and just smiled at him.

Frank took a few minutes before hopping up and dusting himself off. "Tell you what... Why don't we grab something for lunch before I go to work? Sort of like a celebration, of sorts."

"All right... just let me change first..." Kate said as her tail waved happily.

"Okay... I'll be waiting outside your changing room..." With that, Frank left and closed the door behind him. He leaned against the wall and breathed a sigh of relief.

Thank you God... for not letting anything happen this time...
