Life at Windian High (Part 2)

"I guess it's not something I can just ignore anymore, P-chan." Janet was staring at the little pink bird on her finger. "They're right, both of them... Yuki and Lucy... I shouldn't be around the WINGS." Janet shook her head. "Not around Candice, anyway... I need to be there, with my real friends. But..." Janet sighed, she had been having this conversation with herself for a while now, and her bird simply continued to listen to the windian's ramblings patiently. Always, Janet caught herself in this loop. She was honestly ready to call it quits with the WINGS, "... if only it weren't for Justin."

Janet just wouldn't allow herself to believe what anyone was saying about Justin. "After two years, P-chan, I'd think that I could trust him..." Janet paused and sighed to herself. "But, then again, those two years... they haven't exactly been the best two years..." Janet rubbed her head. "P-chan, I'm so confused... I mean... what would I do without Justin? I know he hasn't been the greatest guy for the past two years that we've been together, but he's always been there for me. And he's always stood up for me, and watched out for me, and..." Janet paused, her voice trailing off. No, Justin hadn't always been there for her, and he hadn't always stood up for her and defended her. She just wish he had. Janet had always wished for her own knight in shining armor that would stand up for her and defend her whenever she had needed it, and for the past two years she had convinced herself that Justin was just that knight. And now, she couldn't let go of the image, and she couldn't let go of Justin. Janet just sighed again and shook her head.

"Maybe I can convince him to leave with me... yea, P-chan, maybe that's what I'll do... I'll convince Justin to leave with me... that way, I won't have to be around the WINGS anymore, and I'll still have Justin... What do you think about that?"

P-chan chirped.

Janet nodded. "Monday, I'll talk to him during lunch Monday. You know, P-chan, for once I honestly can't wait for the school week to start..." Janet gave a slight grin as the little bird on her finger chirped again and began to sing a happy melody.
