Life at Windian High (Part 2)

Sunday morning in Windia...

Chris Fallon left his home and began to walk toward the Brandshire residence. The woren had a lot on his mind. And most of it had to do with his girlfriend.

Heh... I think it was safe to say that I definitely surprised her with that kiss... She didn't expect that, but I didn't want to have to kill Brad for hitting on her...

The dance is coming up... I think I'll ask her to go with me... at least this time... there's nothing wrong with me.

Chris let out a low growl as his ears began to flatten. Currently, he is remembering what HellCat had done to him in the past, and what it had done to his family, his life, and his friends.

The woren shook his head to clear the events from the past.

It's all over now... it's behind me. Igor lifted what was left of HellCat from me... and Frank and the others killed it. I owe them one... If anything comes up, I'll make it up to them... Maybe later, I can spar with Frank... get some practice in for the club.

Chris continued to walk toward the Brandshire home, taking in the usual sights and sounds that filled the streets of Windia.

Maybe later this week... I can invite her over for dinner... I'll help cook something that she'd like... man, that soup her father made... that was really good!

Eventually, the black haired woren made it to the home of his girlfriend. Chris nervously ran a hand through his long hair before walking toward the front door and knocking on it.

Alex opened the door and offered a smile to Chris. "Hey... what's up?"

"Hi Alex... um... is Diane around?" Chris asked as he ran a hand through his jet black hair.

Alex chuckled and leaned against the door frame, his tail waving slightly. "Well, she is, Chris. But I'm not gonna let you see her."

The black haired woren raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why not?"

The yellow furred woren chuckled and cracked his knuckles. "Because I'm the overprotective, older brother... that's why."

Chris was going to say something, when Alex suddenly yelped in pain and began to rub his arm.

"Alex... dun mess with him! Ye're embarassin' me!" Diane said as she reared back to punch her brother again.

"ACK!!! Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Jeez Diane!" Alex said to his sister before rubbing his arm. Immediately, the older woren ran back into the house, leaving his sister and her boyfriend alone on the front porch.

"I swear... everytime..." Diane finally noticed Chris again. "CHRIS!!!" With that, she charged her boyfriend and tackle pounced him, sending both of them to the ground. "Wha brings ya here??? It's great ta see ya!"

Chris looked up at Diane and offered a smile. "Great to see you too! Um... Diane... could you get off of me for a moment? I need to ask you a couple of things."

Diane leaned forward until she was face to face with Chris, before letting out a low, throaty purr. "Wha's wrong? Havin' trouble thinkin' straight with me on top of ya?" As she spoke, Chris noticed that her tail was waving in delight.

"Um... Well... Anyway... I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dance with me?" Chris said as he stared into Diane's vivid green eyes.

"Course ah would... It beats goin' with Brad anyhow..." Diane let out another purr and kissed Chris on the head.

Chris blushed under his fur. Of course, Diane still had him pinned under her. "And another thing... um... Diane, the family's been wanting to meet you... and Cherise wants to see you again... I was hoping you'd come over for dinner later this week."

"I would love that, Chris! What day?" Diane said as she finally hopped off of her boyfriend.

Chris hopped up, dusted himself off, and finally ran a hand through his hair. "How does Wednesday night sound? Is that all right with you?"

"Fine by me, Chris! Hey... want to spend some time together? Before we have ta go to work?" Diane said as she fluttered her eyelashes at him and waved her tail innocently.

"All right... all right..." Chris said with a smile. Diane pulled Chris into the house and into the backyard. Both of them went over to the hammock. Chris got in and Diane curled up beside him. Chris and Diane continued to enjoy the peaceful, serene setting and enjoyed the company of one another.
