Tuesday morning in Windia...

"Frank..." Jess said as she knocked on the door to his room. "It's almost time for school? Are you ready?" The woren knocked on the door once more as her tail began to flick impatiently. He's never this late... yeah, he can be running late at times... but never...

The door finally opened. However, instead of Frank, a distraught, puffy-eyed Neko-Chan answered.

"Myah... Jess..." Neko-Chan said as she batted her ears and rubbed her eyes cutely. "Meow... Frank... I need to talk to you, Jess... Myah... Frank... last night..."

"Whoa..." Jess said as she looked at the Nekomata in the eyes. "Slow down, Neko-Chan... Start from the beginning..."

"Meow..." Neko-Chan said quietly. "Frank... he had... nightmares last night... I tried to comfort him, myah... reassure him that it's okay... but, meow, everytime he went back to sleep... Myah... Jess... it took me all night to calm him... He just went to bed... And I don't know... myah... I think he's got a slight fever..."

"Say no more, Neko-Chan..." Jess said quietly. The woren walked into Frank's room with a sleepy demoness walking behind her.

The room was still dark, but had the faintest shimmers of sunlight filtering in through the curtains. For the first time in the past day, Frank was finally sleeping soundly. It took a lot of comforting from Neko-Chan, but he was finally nightmare free.

"Meow..." Neko-Chan said quietly as her tails waved around. "It took me awhile, myah... but he's at ease... those nasty sleep demons won't be haunting him anymore... Meow... Jess... his parents..."

"I know, Neko-Chan..." Jess said as she put a hand to her adopted son's forehead. Frank was surprisingly warm, but not too hot. "I'm worried about him..."

"Myah... I am too... Jess..." Neko-Chan said as her head drooped.

"Well... he's staying home... he does have a fever... I'll ask Yuki to get his assignments... I'll come back and check on him soon..." The woren said quietly. Jess then left and explained the situation to Yuki down in the shop.

Neko-Chan quietly shut the door and looked at Frank. "Myah... Frank... you'll be better... Purr... I'll be by your side, meow... You would do the same for me..."

With a cute little kitty yawn, Neko-Chan hopped back into Frank's bed to comfort him. She curled up beside the Persona User and took him into a comforting sibling hug. To her amazement, Frank reached out and returned it. Neko-Chan let out a small smile and fell asleep beside her guardian/sibling, purring in content.
