Life at Windian High (Part 2)

It was now Wednesday morning in Windia. Frank was feeling much better that day. He pulled on a jet-black helmet that had an anime angel sticker on the side and dropped his custom made skateboard that had a battle ready female woren on the underside of the deck.

"I'll see you when I get home!" Frank said with a wave before kicking off and skating toward Windia High. Jess and Neko-Chan waved good-bye to him, and eventually returned to the store after he had disappeared into the distance.

"Myah! At least he's feeling better!" Neko-Chan said. A kitty grin slowly adorned her face as both her tails began to wave happily.

"It was just a one day thing, Neko-Chan." Jess said as she turned to the demoness. "But still... you're right. It's good to know that he's okay." The woren's tail began to twitch lightly.

"Myah... Jess... I wish I could go to school with him sometime... Not like the last time I followed him, meow..." The Nekomata said as she looked in the general direction of Windia High.

"Why don't you ask him? I mean..." Jess said as she did her long, red hair into a ponytail. "The worst that could happen is that he'll say no."

"Meow... I guess you're right..." Neko-Chan said quietly as she made her way to the room that she and Frank shared. The demoness opened the door the door, entered, and shut it behind her quietly. She wandered over to Frank's desk and rested her head in the palms of her hands after she had propped her arms up on the surface.

"Myah..." Neko-Chan said with a sigh. "Jess is right, purr..." As the catgirl scanned the desk, her ears immediately perked when she caught sight of the journal that was lying on the desktop.

"Meow... he's always leaving his memory book here..." Neko-Chan said quietly as she ran a finger along the leather binding of the book. The catgirl slowly picked up the book and flopped onto Frank's bed. She slowly undid the clasp and opened the journal to a random entry, as her tails waved around slowly.

Dragons... Heh... back in Lunarvale, they're creatures of myth. However, they're one of the clans here in Windia... See, Dragons look like humans, except that they have the power to morph into... er... dragons. From what I know, the clan had split into two factions a long time ago... back before the First Destined Cycle. If anyone is wondering, well, the two factions are the Light Dragons, and the Dark Dragons.

One of my Persona is a Light Dragon. I also have a friend who's a Light Dragon. His name is Ray Bendrel, and he has a little sister named Britney. Heck, I can still remember the first day that I met him...

Before I go on, one has to realize that Windians blame the Dragons for the loss of their powers. From what I've seen here in Windia, issues between the different clans is as bad as the things that happened back on Earth. If any one is wondering about what it was like on Earth, lets just say that a lot of things were worse there than here in Windia.

"Myah???" Neko-Chan said quietly as she read that passage. "Meow... he's right... Crime and such, myah... there isn't a lot here, purr..." The demoness continued to read the journal as both her ears flicked and her whiskers twitched.

Anyway, I still remember it all... My first day at school was quite a shock to me... I found out that Ray had a habit of wearing his lunch. Of course, I knew it was wrong... but there was absolutely nothing I could have done about it at the time... Ray was completely untrusting... I could understand, because of all the pain and torment that he went through...

I remember it all so vividly... how he actually became a friend of mine, and the others as well... All of us were hanging out in the park that day, when WINGS, a pro Windian group at school, began to pick on him... For some odd reason, they ceased up on their attacks, when one of them told them to stop... Good thing too... Ellen and I had opened up on them with a non-lethal Fusion Spell that put a couple of them to sleep. Anyway, we checked on him, and aside from the bruises, he was okay. Ray still didn't trust us, though.

We followed him that day just to make sure nothing else happened. Thankfully, he downed a bottle of Ripobitan that I had given him. Ripobitan is a medicine back from Lunarvale. See, it's sorta like one of the healing items here in Windia. Anyway, we continued to tail him in secret, since Nate, Ellen, and I were concerned. Thankfully, Alex, Kate and Diane were there to help us.

We finally made it to the elementary school, where Ray had to pick up his little sister. I don't know how, but they got separated... Jason Burnhart, a member of WINGS, had her cornered... we didn't know what was going to happen, but another member, Lucy Conwing (who incidentally is the sister of a great friend of mine), stopped him. This happened as soon as Ray arrived, and we came onto the scene.

I don't exactly remember what Nate told Jason, but ever since then, they've hated each other with a passion. Nate said something smart to Jason, who in turned decked him with a magic laced fist. Little did Jason know that Nate's Persona was still ready to protect him...

Lovers:Pixie emerged from Nate, bound and determined to avenge her defeated host. She used a powerful spell that's usually used by strong demons and other Persona. Since it really wasn't one of her spells, it was considered a Persona Hidden Ability... basically, a last ditch spell or skill used when the host is in danger. Anyway, Jason was hit pretty hard by a spell known as Baptism by Thunder. It knocked him cold and sent WINGS running.

"Meow! A Hidden Ability..." Neko-Chan said thoughtfully. "Myah... I haven't seen any by Frank's Persona, or any of his friends... Purr... makes me wonder what they are..." The demoness thought for a moment more before returning to the journal.

Well, to make a long story short, I went to check on Ray while the others helped Nate. He was still untrusting of me, and was being very protective of his little sister. However... that changed when, one, I showed him that I wasn't one to hurt him, and two, Ryu emerged from my soul to talk to him. After that, he became a good friend of mine, and a good friend to the others. Heh... you should have seen the look on his face when I used a Persona Break to bring life to Ryu...

Anyway... that's about it. Ray and I are great friends... kinda like the way that Brandon and I get along. Whoa... I didn't know it was this late... Neko-Chan's curled up in her bed, fast asleep. Maybe sometime, I'll take her to school with me...

Frank Maynard

"Meow..." Neko-Chan said quietly as she closed the leatherbound journal and redid the clasp. "That's how he met Ray... Purr... He's a nice guy... Meow. I'm glad Frank met him..." The catgirl placed the journal back on Frank's desk before looking out the window again.

"Myah! He wants to take me to school with him! Purr..." Neko-Chan said as a kitty grin on her face. "Purr... I'll just have to wait then..."

The Nekomata just sat on her bed and picked up a book that she was reading earlier. After awhile, sleep overwhelmed her, and she passed out on her bed with the book on her chest.
