Life at Windian High

"RING!!!"

"Class, please read Chapter 7, section three for tonight. That will be all." Mr. Jamerson said over the sound of students trying to rush the door.

Chris picked up his books and headed for the door. So far, it had been just an ordinary day for him, nothing out of the ordinary. Out in the hallways, Chris made his way to his locker.

As he was getting some of his books and placing them into his pack, someone tapped him on the shoulder. Chris turned around to see Cynthia, watching him.

"Hey Chris! What's been going on?" The forest clan girl said with a toothy smile.

Chris ran a hand through his long black hair. "Nothing much, Cynthia... Just got out of class, ready to head home, you know, the usual..."

Cynthia raised an eyebrow. "What about your sister?"

"Mom's going to pick her up today... the hospital gave her a day off." Chris said as his ear flicked.

"Ahh... I see..." Cynthia said to her friend. Chris, however, was distracted by Ellen Johnson, who was currently talking to a friend of hers.

"Hello? World to Chris? Are you there?" Cynthia said to her friend. Chris still didn't respond to Cynthia.

"Wow... she's beautiful..." Chris said quietly. Cynthia noticed his tail waving slightly.

"Forget it, Chris. Everyone in school knows that she has a boyfriend... Alex Brandshire, I believe... You wouldn't believe how many guys I've seen hit on her!" Cynthia said with a laugh.

Chris shrugged. "I suppose you're right, Cynth... Besides... Ellen's not really the one I was looking for."

Cynthia casually leaned against the set of lockers. "Oh really... Then why did you get googly eyes when Ellen came into view?"

Chris turned to his friend and saw that her tail was wagging in delight.

"Okay, so I have a slight crush on her. Big deal. But I really do have my eyes..." Chris was cut off when Diane came into view to talk to Ellen.

Cynthia chuckled. "Uh huh... You're interested in her, aren't you?"

"..." Was Chris only reply. Cynthia noticed that his tail was moving ever so slowly.

Cynthia chuckled again. "Look Chris... Why don't you tell her how you feel?"

Chris sighed as he ran a hand through his jet black hair. "I wish I could, Cynth... But I can't even find the right words to say."

Cynthia sighed before she shut her locker. "I don't know Chris... Hey... I've got to go. See you tomorrow?"

Chris shut his locker before shouldering his pack. "Sure Cynthia. See you tomorrow."

Chris left school, thinking about Diane, and what he would say to her.

"I don't know... on one hand, there's Ellen... She's beautiful and has nearly every guy but those three on her..." Chris thought to himself as he left the courtyard.

"On the other hand, there's Diane... I've had my eye on her for awhile... But what if she says no?"

As Chris was walking down the street, he did not recognize the form of something watching him... Something that the Persona Users, the Brandshire siblings, and Janet Meyers knew all too well.

In the bushes, if one was to look, they would be able to notice a large cat, HellCat, to be exact, a demonized Persona from Lunarvale.

"Damn Persona Users... killing my master like that... they shall pay... dearly..." HellCat noticed Chris passing by.

"He shall make a fine host... He has magical powers... and what's this? I can feel something in him... So... he has feelings for one of the Persona Users..." With those words, HellCat leapt from his hiding place.

Chris stopped in his tracks and turned slowly. He began to scream when he saw the form of HellCat leaping at him.

Then all went black.
