Life at Windian High

Windian High. During school hours, it's hallways are crowded with students in uniform moving to and from classes. Teachers busy themselves in their classes, keeping students settled and doing their best to teach them. The school is kept as a closed campus, no one is allowed on or off without permission. After school, however, is another matter. The halls are usually deserted. Every so often you might see a group of teachers chatting together as they walk down the halls, or a few students in casual clothing wandering about. Many times music can be heard floating from the auditorium where the schools two main bands, The Blazing Dragon's and the WINGS band are often found practicing.

But today the halls are silent. No teachers have yet been spotted walking through the halls, much to the relief of the Windian trio. Chad and David were standing in front of a storage room door, Chad whistling nonchalantly to himself while David glanced up and down the halls. Jason appeared from around the nearby corner and jerked his thumb over his shoulder, motioning to the corridor behind him.

"Clear down there. Seen anyone pass by lately?"

"Nope. Halls have been as empty as the cafeteria on meatloaf day." Chad chuckled.

David nodded as he pulled the butterknife from his pocket that the group and swiped from the lunchroom that day. "Better make this quick though, don't want to get caught." Jason and Chad stood watch along the halls as David quickly popped the lock on the door. The task was completed in just a few seconds.

"Think they'll ever change that lock?" Chad stepped past David and into the storage room, glancing along the shelves.

"Sure hope not." David grinned. "Would hate for it to become a challenge to get that thing open again."

"The mother load..." Jason removed a backpack he had been carrying around and quickly opened it up. "I can't believe they still leave these teacher edition books in here."

Chad chuckled as he began removing answer books from off the shelves and stuffing them into the backpack. "Hey, I don't mind, makes our job that much easier. Get the answers to the tests, sell them to students, same deal as always. Students pass their tests, teachers make the tests harder, demand for test answers keep rolling in every year." The windian grinned as he placed a few more books into the pack.

David nodded, glancing up and down the halls incase any teachers were to appear. "Shall we send out the notices to our usual buyers?"

"In a few days." Chad glanced over the shelves as Jason zipped up the backpack. "First we need to get a hold of one of those test papers."

"Tomorrow." Jason shouldered the pack. "I've got detention with Mr. Jamerson during lunch again." He rolled his eyes. "I can grab a few then."

David nodded and waited for his two friends to get out of the storage room before locking the door and closing it again. The trio glanced around again, making sure that no one had been there to witness their act. Then they headed down the halls, David on the far left, Chad in the middle with his arms drapped around his friend's shoulders, and Jason at the far right. Chad chuckled as they made their way out of the school.

"My friends, I think everybody's wrong when they talk about Mr. Jamerson's history tests being the worst. Those impossible tests of his have really payed off for me in my years here." The trio laughed at their shared joke as they made there way out of the school.
