Life at Windian High

It was Upper Windia.

Everything looked rich in Upper Windia.

Everything from the way the road was an elegant cobble stone to the decorative fountains that spotted the streets.

The houses looked rich too. Most of the houses in Upper Windia were white. Others were blue, some yellow, and a few were light shades of brown. This was especially true for the alabaster white three-story house that Janet Meyers was walking up to. Still dressed in her grey school outfit and back pack slung over her shoulder, Janet made her way up to the glowing white house, it's chocolate brown trim only accenting the flawless color of the building.

The door of the house was decorative, as was the rest of the building. Around the trim of the front door, elaborate carvings of birds and feathers were braided together in patterns. To the right of the door, embeded as the eye in one of the various bird carvings was located the doorbell. In the center of the door, a stained glass design of a white bird gave color to the whole decorative look.

The stained glass pattern was repetead higher up the house in some of the second and third story windows. Serving as decoration on the very top of the house, a small windmill turned lazily in the breeze. Janet tiredly opened the door and stepped inside the building.

"I'm home!" The windian removed her shoes, setting them by the door before stepping onto the soft, clean white carpet that covered the floor of the house. She was greeted by a soft meowing and looked down to see a white persian rubbing up against her leg.

"Hey Max." Janet brushed the cat aside. The creature gave out a reluctant meow as it allowed itself to be scooted away. Janet continued into the house, making her way over to a set of stairs and following them up to the second story hallyway of her house. Making her way down the hallway, she stopped in front of the second door she had passed on her right and opened it, entering the room beyond the door.

It was colored a sky blue. A window was at the far end of the room, opened just enough to allow a gentle breeze to flow in, and causing the white curtains of the room to flutter just slightly. Janet made her way over to the bed covered in a large decorative quilt that was placed up against the wall to the left of the window and set her bookbag down. With a sigh, she headed across the room to where a large pair of closet doors stood and opened them, glancing around her various dresses for something to change into. A soft chirp was heard and Janet turned to the small pink bird who was watching her from it's perch inside a large cage. Janet picked out a dress, closed her closet and stepped over to the bird.

"Hey P-chan." Janet opened the cage and let the little bird perch on her finger. "How are you today?" The bird sang out a little response.

"Janet?" The melodious voice of an older woman was heard just outside of Janet's door.

"Yes mom?"

A fair-skinned, brown haired woman with large white wings and dressed in a comfortable looking pink dress and apron entered the room. "I thought I heard you come in. Your father is having guests over today and I would like you to help me get ready for them."

"Alright." Janet replaced the small bird into its cage as her mother left and changed into her more casual dress before heading downstairs to help her mother out in the kitchen.
