Life at Windian High

Frank pulled his backpack over one shoulder after leaving the small kitchen above the Reverse Edge Weapons Shop.

"Jess! I'm going to school now! See you when I get back!" Frank said to his guardian before heading downstairs.

Jess was in the washroom, putting her deep red hair into a ponytail like she usually did every morning. As she was doing this her tail waved back and forth slowly. After hearing Frank, she leaned out the washroom.

"All right, Frank. Have a good day at school! And be sure to be on time for your shift later!" Jess yelled down the stairs to her adopted son.

Frank looked up the stairs and smiled. "I will, Jess. I left you some sausage and eggs in the kitchen! See ya!"

Frank raced out of the Reverse Edge and made a beeline toward Windia High. However...

Myah... There he goes again... Everyday to the same place. What does he do there? A curious Neko-Chan thought to herself.

Meow... Only one way to find out...

Using her natural cat abilities, Neko-Chan managed to follow Frank out of the Reverse Edge and over to Windia High. She just managed to make it into the school's courtyard when the gates slammed shut behind her.

Myah! Neko-Chan thought to herself as the sounds of the gates nearly made her jump out of her fur. She turned to look at the closed gates, and both her ears and her tails drooped.

Meow... what have I gotten myself into? The demoness thought to herself. She knew she could leave, but she was curious as to what Frank did all day in that drab old building. And as we all know about a certain popular saying...

Neko-Chan hopped into one of the trees in the courtyard to get a better view of her surroundings.

Myah! There's Frank! With other people! Why's he writing in that notebook all the time? And... meow? A Monkey?

Neko-Chan dropped from her tree and began to look around the courtyard curiously. Figuring that the front doors of the school were the only way in, she tried that. Oddly enough, they were unlocked.

Meow... that was easy enough...

Neko-Chan stepped into the school and looked around curiously.

Myah... This looks sorta like St. Hermelin... but not quite as big. This must be Frank's school. Meow? What do they do in school?

Neko-Chan's tails twitched in interest as she looked around the main hall of the school.

Myah... only one way to find out... Wait... what's that smell? MYAH!!!! FISH!!!!

Neko-Chan's two tails waved happily as she let the smell lead her to the cafeteria.

Meow? What is this place?

Neko-Chan looked around the cafeteria in confusion, before realization hit her.

Meow! That's right, purr... This is like Ryan's house... but... meow? Where's the food?

"Well well... what do we have here?" A voice said from behind Neko-Chan.

"MYAH!!!" Neko-Chan yelped as she jumped. As soon as she landed, she turned to see a chubby, middle aged woman with graying blonde hair in a hairnet. From what Neko-Chan could tell, the woman had her hair in some sort of a net and was wearing what Ryan usually wears when he's cooking.

Neko-Chan's ears began to twitch in fear. The lunch lady noticed this and chuckled, before scratching lightly behind one of the demoness's ears.

"Purr..." Neko-Chan said as her tails began to wave happily.

The lunch lady grinned at the purring demoness. "So... what are you? You look like you're woren, but you're more catlike..."

"Meow? Like Kate and Diane?" Neko-Chan asked in confusion.

The lunch lady chuckled, before realizing that the catgirl that she was with spoke to her.

"Oh... so you can talk? Do you have a name?"

Neko-Chan nodded in that cute, kitty way that she can. "Myah! I'm a Nekomata! A two tailed catgirl spirit. Myah, my friends and my guardian call me Neko-Chan."

"Neko-Chan, huh? Well, I'm one of the lunch servers here at Windia High. Just call me Mrs. Kester. So tell me... why are you here?"

Myah ah ah... That's a good question.

"Meow... actually..." Neko-Chan's whiskers began to twitch as she though about how she was going to explain her current situation.

"Myah... I came here to find out what Frank does in school everyday... And when I smelled the fish... Meow... Well... That's why I came here... the fish... purr..."

Lunch Lady Kester smiled at the catgirl demoness. "Well then... I suppose there's no harm in letting you have a little. Follow me."

Neko-Chan smiled, then followed the lunch lady into the kitchen.

Meow... so many interesting smells...nothing like what Frank or Ryan cooks though...

"Here you go, Neko-Chan..." Lunch Lady Kester said as she spooned a little bit of her Salmon Surprise onto a plate for our wayward demoness.

Neko-Chan took a sniff of it.

Myah ah ah! It's smells like burnt rubber! But Frank's always telling me to be nice...

Neko-Chan smiled at the lunch lady before taking a bite.

Mrowr! It tastes worse than it smells! How can they eat this? But I'm supposed to be polite...

Neko-Chan smiled before downing the contents of her plate.

"How was it? The lunch lady asked Neko-Chan with a smile.

"Meow... It was really good, Mrs. Kester." Neko-Chan said while trying to keep from getting sick.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it, sweetie." Lunch Lady Kester replied.

"Myah... sorry for being rude... But I must go... I'd like to look around a little more." Neko-Chan said. Her whiskers were now twitching uneasily.

"I understand... Take care now!" Lunch Lady Kester said with a smile.

Neko-Chan nodded, then walked out of the cafeteria. As soon as she was out, she paled underneath her fur as her stomach began to make odd noises.

Myah... Not good... need to find...

Neko-Chan ran quickly down the still empty halls looking left and right, until she found what she was looking for.

There! Urp... Myah...

As Neko-Chan reached the restroom, she let out a low yowl as she busted through the door.

Myah... I hope that had the picture of a little woman on it... Neko-Chan thought to herself as she did her business.

Urp... myah... Serves me right for being so nice...
