Life at Windian High

"Jennifer? Are you alright?" Mr. Jamerson shot a worried glance to where his fellow teacher was brooding over a cup of coffee. Mrs. Wireman nodded, her ears bobbing lightly.

"I'm fine, Greg. Just thinking."

"Well alright." The highlander shrugged and left the teacher's lounge, allowing Mrs. Wireman to sit alone in thought.

She was thinking about one student of hers, Frank Maynard. Frank had seemed distracted ealier, and upon talking to him Mrs. Wireman had learned more about her student then she could have even imagined she'd know. Poor Frank. The teacher thought to herself. So much that he's had to put up with and he's still so young... It truly amazed her that Frank seemed to be doing as well as he was. Most teens, when put under the type of stress that Frank had been under, would generally turn out much worse. But Frank seemed to be doing alright. At least he had most everyone thinking he was doing alright. Mrs. Wireman's ears twitched lightly as she sipped her coffee.

That was something else that had her puzzled. The powers that Frank possessed, his Persona, and that strange ring he was wearing. I've only heard tales of things like this, but I had never once dreamed that those relics, that gem that Frank had in his ring, that those things were really true... Mrs. Wireman liked to consider herself as having 'two feet on the ground' at all times, and usually she dimissed ideas like the diamond that Frank possessed and the powers that he held as being 'illogical,' yet for some reason the teacher was compelled to believe her student. Frank wouldn't have a reason to lie to her, especially not when he was in such a state as he was when he spoke to her. Mrs. Wireman was convinced that her studen had been telling her the truth, it was just a hard truth to believe.

Sometime I'll have to get a hold of him, see how he's doing, offer some help. Mrs. Wireman took another sip of her drink. And perhaps ask him about those abilities of his... Her ears twitched lightly as she continued to think.
