Life at Windian High

Truth be told, Chris was still scared.

Sure, the Woren wasn't possessed anymore, but something was still nagging at his soul.

Chris had trouble sleeping at night. Not because he was troubled by what HellCat had made him do, but because he could hear the thing inside of him, still nagging.

What was that thing? They said it was a demonized Persona... But what in Ladon's name is a Persona? And who was the Snow Queen that... thing was talking about? And Lunarvale??? Where is that?

Chris ran a hand through his jet black hair, still deep in thought.

The Woren had some good moments, though. His parents and his sister immediately noticed that he was back to himself, and they threw themselves upon him, promising never to let anything like that to happen to him again.

Cherise was no longer nervous around her brother, which overjoyed Chris to no ends.

I'm just glad that HellCat didn't do anything to her... if he did... I swear...

Moreover, the restraining order had been lifted by a Windian Guard named Maria Avalon.

Chris's tail began to flick in wonder as he made his way to the Reverse Edge Weapons Emporium.

When she approached me, she said that she had heard the story from a few friends of hers... Frank, Kate, and another Woren named Tellka. Odd... She believed them so easily...

Then I was allowed back in school... apparently, Ellen had pulled some strings with Mrs. Wireman to get me back... I owe her one...

The Woren was now at his new place of employment, The Reverse Edge Weapons Emporium.

Ms. Rorins approached my father at the coliseum, asking if he knew anyone who was good with weapons. Apparently, she and her adopted son were being overworked, and well... I was the one who wanted the job. Dad approved, saying that it would help me become with more weapons than just rapiers.

The Woren ran a hand through his hair once more, before opening the door.

As the door opened, the chime of the bell alerted those within the weapon showroom to a cusomer.

"Ms. Rorins... I -" Chris stopped in midsentence, as he spotted Ellen Johnson, Alex Brandshire, Nate Trinity, and Kate Chan talking to his future boss.

No... not them... not after all I had put them through...

"Um... hey Chris!" Alex said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"..." He deserves Ellen... That thing preyed on the fact that I had a crush on her.

"Chris???" Ellen asked hopefully.

"..." Was the Woren's only response.

"Hi Chris!" Kate said happily, tail waving to convey her emotions.

"..."

"Chris..." Jess Rorins started. "Go on. They won't hurt you." The older Woren told her soon to be employee.

"It's not that, Ms. Rorins..." Chris started while looking at the floor. "I don't deserve to be around them! Not after everything that I had done..."

Alex rolled his eyes. "Oh please, Chris. What's done is done. It's all in the past. We've all forgiven you, since we knew that it wasn't you in the first place."

Chris raised both his arms, tail whipping angrily.

"In the past? That thing had complete control over me for the past month! I couldn't control my actions at all! You try being possessed for a month and lets see how you feel..." The Woren said in defeat.

Alex growled before looking the other Woren straight in his eyes. "Look... you try going around for a few weeks with a possessed Woren constantly stalking your girlfriend, and lets see how you feel. Look... what's done is done. I had trouble letting it go, but I did. I forgive you, man."

"But I nearly killed Frank! Those spells that that thing used were mine!" Chris said, tail waving furiously.

Ellen decided to adjust her neckerchief and fix her necklace before speaking up. "What's done is done, Chris. Frank's forgiven you. I've forgiven you..."

Alex crossed his arms before speaking. "See? No one's upset, man. Just let it go. No one's angry at you. Let it go."

Chris grabbed his head and shook, as if trying to get something out of him.

Kate noticed this, and began to worry.

"It's hard to, Alex. I've been trying to let it go, but I can't... I try to forget... but that thing haunts my memories... like it's lingering in my soul..." Once more, the Woren shook his head.

With those words, Ellen and Nate looked at each other in worry.

"Nate... do you think..." Ellen started.

"What? What?" Chris asked as his ears twitched in confusion.

Ellen approached Chris and looked him straight in the eyes.

"Chris..." Ellen started. "That demon... it was a Persona... You may have control now, but..."

Kate looked confused. "Wait a second! I thought Jason burned the Persona Card! So why..."

Ellen turned to look at her friend. "You're right, Kate. The Persona Card was burned... so HellCat should have no presence in Chris..."

Chris ran a hand through his hair nervously. "Please... tell me what's going on!"

Nate shifted his scarf before speaking up. "Apparently, HellCat left a little bit of himself within you, Chris. I'm sure that if we take you to the Velvet Room, Igor can help you by removing it completely."

Kate tugged on Alex's sleeve.

"Hmm?" Alex said as he turned to Kate.

Kate's ears twitched in confusion. "This Persona stuff... It's confusing! Do you understand what they're talking about?"

Alex scratched his head. "I have no clue either..."

Ellen turned to her boyfriend. "Love! When we killed HellCat, we failed to remove the entire thing from his soul... It still lingers within his soul...

Chris was shocked, to say the least.

Velvet Room? Igor? What are they talking about? Wait... he's still in me? Ladon! That means my family... Cherise...

"It's still in me?!" Chris said in near panic. "For Ladon's sake! Help me!!!"

Nate removed his hand from his chin. Apparently, he was deep in thought. "It's attached itself to the bottled up anger within you. If we take you to Igor, he may be able to reach into your soul and pull it out."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go see this Igor person... I... don't want it... to happen... again..." Chris said as his tail began to wave slowly.

Ellen spoke up. "Anytime soon... the portal to the Velvet Room is in the alley beside the store."

Chris looked up in worry. "How... how long do I..."

Nate looked at Chris. "We can take you tomorrow. First, we have to let Frank know about this. You'll be able to last that long since it's nestled deep within you."

"We'll help you out, Chris. Don't worry!" Kate said happily.

Chris looked around, before cracking a small smile. "Thank you... Thank you all..."

Ellen looked at the Woren. "It's the least we could do, Chris..."
