Life at Windian High

Tellka's ears flicked as the wind blew quietly through the trees around her. The few rustling leaves wasn't enough to disturb the woren from her nap. That is to say, if she was napping. Laying there in the tree with her eyes closed, it seemed to anyone that she was probably asleep, tail twitching with the dreams she was having. Tellka wasn't asleep though. She was dreaming, yes, but not the kind of dreams you dream while you're asleep. She was dreaming dreams of the past.

Sometimes, out in the woods when it was quiet, if she closed her eyes it was easy for Tellka to believe she was back. Back during her life, back before she died. For hours she'd lay quietly in the trees, her eyes closed and listen to the old memories of back then. Often she got so comfortable that she'd begin to hear, to see, to feel everything again like it was real, and not just a memory. Sometimes she could hear the voices of her old friends. Tellka's tail twitched lightly as she heard a familiar voice in her mind.

"Teruka." Her ears flicked at the sound of her name being spoken in the old, dead language. "Teruka! Where are you, chashimika?"

Tellka's tail flicked again lightly. She almost felt like responding, but she knew that was silly. The high female voice continued to call her name for some time before it finally vanished from her mind again. Tellka sighed to herself, her eyes still closed.

"Shirimi." Tellka muttered the name quietly to herself before opening her eyes and stretching. Something about Kate reminded her of that little creature. Probably the way Kate always seemed so cheerful, or the way she always looked up to Tellka. The old woren chuckled lightly to herself. "Atleast she doesn't call me Teruka."

With a light jump the woren landed quietly to the ground and stretched again. She had spent enough time out here for now. She had to get back to Windia. She was scheduled for a fight soon at the Colosseum. Tellka considered reverting back to her spirit form and traveling to the Colosseum that way. It would be quicker, but as she glanced around the forest she decided against it. She enjoyed these surroundings too much. They were like the woods Tellka would always travel through. These were, infact, some of the very woods Tellka had traveled through in her journeys way back then. They had changed a little since then, but not too much. That was why Tellka always liked coming back to them. It was a small connection to getting back to her past.

With a flick of her ears and a quick shrug of her shoulders, Tellka shook the nostalgia off and focused her mind on getting ready for the upcoming fight as she made her way back to Windia. She glanced around the woods again, chuckling lightly as she heard the small voice in her mind calling out "Teruka" once more, then turned and began walking quickly back up to Windia.
