Journal of the Windian Trio

As the second day rolled around, anticipation seemed to buzz over the students. They would be arriving at the reservation today. Questions floated around; how soon? Would it be dark before they got there? What would they do there? What is it going to be like? Are they there yet? Are they there yet? Are they there yet? Vagger finally turned and glared at Carl who kept asking that last question, and the windian finally closed his mouth. Windford looked like he was suffering from a headache.

"Vagger? Honestly how much longer until we get there?"

"Only a few hours, don't worry." Vagger chuckled at the English teacher. "Soon enough they'll be out of our hands and into the unsuspecting hands of the guides at the reservation."

However, not all of the students were that thrilled to be approaching their destination. Tym looked like she was about to start throttling the nearest student, one of the reasons why Amber and Sabs seemed to be walking so far from her. The wolf's right eye was twitching, and her lips were pulled back in a fang baring grimace. Sabs checked her friend out and approached with tentative steps as the crowd continued walking.

"Cheezus, Tym? You're.... foaming at the mouth...."

Tym's head jerked to the side and spazzed there for a moment as a gurgling growl escaped her throat. A trail of spittle hung from her lower lip and the twitching of her eye increased in speed. Sabs immediatly spaced herself again. "You are so over dramatic.."

"Gonna... destory...." Her head twitched to the side again. "So many furballs.. so much blood... destroy.. destroy..." Amber and Sabs exchanged glances from where they were walking on either side of the convulsing wolf girl. Amber's fluffy wings twitched in worry.

"Um... Tym.... just remember we're doing this for the grade..."

Another insane noise escaped Tym's throat as the wolf girl's eyes went wide and they both started twitching.

The second, and only other forest clan member in the group of students, Cynthia Weston, didn't seem to be quite as bothered as Tym. She was however, a bit apprehensive as the group constantly headed closer to arriving at the reservation. Chris Fallon looked over at his friend, his tail waving slightly with worry.

"Cynthia?" The woren noted his friend's uneasy look. "Are you alright?"

"I think so Chris, but you know..." she looked up at her friend for a moment as she brushed some of her chocolate colored hair from her face. "You know our kind don't mix very well... I mean in Windia, woren and forest clanners are always getting into fights. I personally don't have anything against woren, you know that," she chuckled lightly at her friend before her face turned back to its thoughtful expression, "but... I'm about to step into an entire land full of woren, and I have no idea how they're going to react to me."

"Aw, don't worry about it Cynth." Chris grinned reassuringly at his friend. "I'm sure you'll be okay." He glanced over at Tym who just exploaded into a barking fit at poor Gregory, who'd once again gotten too close (closer then fifteen feet) to her. "I'd be more concerned about what's going to happen to her..."

Cynthia let out a light chuckle.

It was into the early evening when the group finally arrived at the reservation. They were greeted at the entrance by a red-furred, black striped woren, dressed in what looked like a sort of dark brown pants, as well as a brown vest that hung open. His arms were bandaged from the elbows to the wrist, and his black hair was pulled back into a pony tail. Vagger walked up to him, a hand raised in greeting. The woren nodded as the teacher lowered his hand. "You're the group that's here from Windia?"

"That would be us." Vagger nodded. "Staying here for the night and leaving early evening tomorrow."

The woren batted an ear in acknowledgement. "I'm Duncan, I'll be your guide while you're here." He turned and scanned the crowd of students, addressing them with a loud voice that was easily heard by all. "While you're here, you're expected to respect this land. Do not go wandering off without a guide. Do not harass any of the natives here. Listen to your teachers and me, we will be keeping track of you." His serious face scanned the crowd again as he made sure everyone was listening to him. "While you're here you're expected to wear name tags so we can better keep track of you. When I call your name, come up here and I'll give you a name tag." Duncan nodded over to Vagger who handed him his clipboard and pen he'd been carrying. The woren guide then pulled out a small stack of 'Hello, my name is ____' tags and began to go down the list.

"Amber."

Amber came walking up, wings fluttering lightly. The woren guide wrote her name out and handed her the name tag before continuing down the list.

"Tere-"

"TYM!!!!" Tym looked like she was about to bite someone's head off as she rushed to the front of the group. "Tym for short!"

Duncan batted an ear as he looked down at Tym. "Well, we don't see many of your kind here. Glad to see you're interested enough in woren to come by, I hope this is a real learning experience for you."

Tym just glared at him as she snatched her name tag roughly out of his hand. Duncan shook his head with a sigh as he called the next name on the list.

"Cynthia?"

Cynthia took her time walking up to see Duncan. She obviously was not thrilled about having to follow up Tym's scene, and she stared up at the woren with a sort of 'I'm not as bad as her, really..' apologetic look on her face. Duncan just chuckled as he wrote out her name and handed her the name tag. "I hope you have a good time as well." He looked at the next name on the list. "Sabrina?"

"Sabs for short, please." The human walked straight up to Duncan with a sort of deliberate air about her. The woren guide nodded as he wrote out her name and handed Sabs her name tag.

"Jason?"

"Jay for short, please." Jason went striding up towards Duncan the same way that Sabs did, a hint of mockery about him as he received his name tag and then flashed an innocent smile over to Sabs who was currently glaring at him. Somewhere in the crowd, David and Chad could be heard snickering.

"David?"

"Oh no no," the windian wrestler walked up to take his name tag. "Please just call me Dave for short." The Windian Trio again chuckled as Dave was written and handed out. Sabs and Amber both just rolled their eyes, causing the three to laugh even harder. Duncan spotted Chad in the crowd of students and immediatly addressed him.

"And you would be?"

Chad's amused expression went straight to shocked, he obviously wasn't expecting to be picked on. He gave a helpless look at his two friends who just grinned at him before clearing his throat and regaining his composure. He walked cooly up to Duncan. "Chad. But please, just call me Josefina for short."

Jason and David immediatly burst into fits of laughter as Duncan scrawled out Chad's new name and promptly stuck it onto the windian himself. Even Vagger was trying to hide a snicker as Chad bounded away, showing his new name off to just about everyone. The rest of the name calling ended with slightly less hassle.
