Journal of the Windian Trio

"There he is! Get 'em!" Chad launched himself through the air and tackled the startled red-haired windian to the ground as David came running up behind him. Some of the nearby students turned to give an odd glance at the trio before wandering off to their tables. Currently it was lunch time at Windian High, and right now in the cafeteria Chad Wingston was holding Jason Burnhart pinned to the ground with his tackle, David Stark standing over the two. Jason attempted to sit up, rubbing the back of his head as he glared at Chad who was still attached to him.

"Dude, what's you're problem? And you'd better have pants on right now..."

Chad grinned widely and chuckled. "No 'Pants Down Man' today, dude. Happy birthday you little pyro!"

"I said don't call me that!" The red-haired windian finally shoved his friend off and stood up, brushing off his school uniform. "Wait..." He blinked suddenly as a look of realization crossed his face and he turned back to Chad who was still laying on the ground. "Did you just say it's my birthday?"

Chad laughed, his wings opening and closing a bit as he grinned up at his friend. "Dude! You didn't even remember it was your birthday? That's bad..."

Jason rolled his eyes. "Yea well, so it slipped my mind."

"Right, well, didn't slip ours." David helped Chad to his feet and then popped his knuckles. "Just like I haven't forgotten about one of my favorite birthday traditions..." the windian wrestler had a dangerous grin on his face. "The birthday wedgie."

Jason's eyes went wide as he took a step away from his wedgie-crazy friend. "Um..."

"You turn seventeen this year, right?" Chad chuckled and looked over at David. "Rules are that David's gotta hold you in a wedgie for seventeen seconds then."

"Alright look, either of you fucking touches me and I'm going to flame you both to a crisp." Jason gave Chad and David a dead serious look, causing them both to start laughing loudly.

"Aw dude, don't worry about it." Chad's wings twitched a bit. "Anyway, so you know the birthday deal. What do you want to do today?"

Every year that the Windian Trio had been together, they had always celebrated each other's birthdays in interesting and random ways. The trio was well known for pulling off strange stunts, everything from abducting the teachers edition books at school and selling test answers to students, to dressing up in each other's clothing and spending the day as each other. Sometimes their stunts were random and overall just dumb ideas, like the time they got into some PE equipment, and with the help of some advice from Brandon Conwing, who at the time had no idea what stunt he was assisting by giving this information to the trio, ended up repelling down the side of the school during a fire alarm. It would have worked just fine if it weren't for the fact that David had tied a knot wrong and got stuck halfway down, and the Guards had to be brought over to get him un-stuck. The whole thing ended up with the three receiving out of school suspention for a week, but the trio had agreed that it was worth it. Other things the trio has done proved to be a bit more well thought out, like the time Chad had cooked up a special glue in Chem class and the trio went around gluing full sized mirrors to strategic places in the halls of Windian High, causing a few students and even teachers to walk into them, thinking it was another part of the hallway. However, even through their huge list of stunts and pranks they had pulled off, even the Windian Trio had limits on what they did.

So that's why they had come up with the birthday tradition.

On the birthday of a Windian Trio member, there were no limits to what could be done. If it could be thought up, then the trio would spend all day trying to get it to work, even if the consiquences included being arrested if they were ever caught. Fortunatily, they only performed stunts like these three times a year, and so far the consiquences of the actions were never any worse then a few broken bones. Jason tapped his chin in thought for a moment.

"I dunno, I guess today I just kinda feel like setting things on fire." The windian began to rub his thumb over his fingertips idly and Chad grinned widely before coughing. Jason could have sworn he heard Chad mutter 'pyro' in his coughing fit, and he shot a glare at his friend who just grinned innocently.

"Right." David nodded. "So, what goes up in flames today? The school? Nearby shops? A certain dragon? Mrs. Dether's flowerpatch? Oh! How about my little sister?? Please can we set her on fire??"

"Dude, come on." Chad chuckled as he looked down at David who was now on his knees, groveling infront of Jason. "It's his birthday, he gets to chose what burns."

"Well it's going to be you if you don't get up!" Jason started backing away from David slowly. "Anyway, I don't know yet. Give me the day to think or something."

"Well you'd better know by after school," Chad chuckled and stroked his goattee, "Or we're just lighting up all of Windia."

"Yea yea, after school." Jason looked up as he heard the bell ring, signaling the end of lunch. "I'll figure it out after school, so anyway, meet you guys out by the main gates after sixth, right?" The trio nodded in agreement before they all headed off to their seperate classes.
