Cleaning day! Alex was shuffling around in the back room of the Auditorium, searching around through instruments, books, costumes and various other things. Alex had offered to help the Drama teacher, Stroschien (called Stro by the students and most staff), clear out the back room. Stro had jumped on the opportunity since most of his drama students were much to familiarized with the mess of the back room that none of them would touch it. Unfortunatily, Alex did not know this, and he was now left to straighten up the mess of the large room."Great." The woren looked around the piles of garbage as he stood, his hands placed on his hips in annoyance as his tail twitched lightly. "Where to start?"
The woren spotted out a pile of books strewn across an untidy bookshelf and shrugged. "Sure, why not." Carefully navigating his way over to the shelf, Alex glanced up and down the huge structure. "Guess I'll start at the top."
The tall woren's tail flicked lightly as he had to stand up on his toes to reach the top shelf. With a few whaps of his hand he did his best to bat off the unorganized books, creating a pile on the ground next to him that he would then go through and sort onto the shelf later. The woren, unable to actually see the top shelf, shrugged lightly as his searching hand found no more books and he moved to the next shelf down, repeating the process of knocking all of the books off for a fresh start. Soon the woren had managed to clear the entire shelf and he glanced down at the huge pile of books next to him. With a flick of his tail, Alex sighed.
"Alright, where should I start?" The woren scratched his head. "I could just put them back on the shelf, standing them all up this time... or organize them somehow..." The woren leaned down to pick up one of the books, accidently bumping the shelf. A single book that had been left on the top shelf, wedged up against the side that Alex had missed, was finally shook free with the sudden bumping motion and fell off the shelf, bonking the woren roughly on the head.
"OW!" Alex stood up and rubbed his head, glaring down at the book. "What the... where'd you come from?" He reached down and picked up the dusty pile of paper, staring at it. Wiping off some of the dust with his hand, Alex stared down at the title of the book.
"Huh? 'The Princess Bride?' What's this?" The curious woren flipped open the book and glanced at a few pages. "Hey... looks like a script of some sort." Alex's tail began to wave happily as he began glancing over the book.
A little known fact about Alex, he had always been interested in drama. The teen had never really considered joining, but he was usually watching the drama team during practices, or skipping class a few days to go see Stro and what he was up to. The woren's tail continued to thrash about happily as he stared down at the book.
"This is great!" He grinned to himself. "I'd love to see someone do this play! Maybe I could show it to Stro and he'd-" the woren's voice stopped suddenly as a little light flicked on above his head. A sly grin crossed over his face as he stared down at the book again. "Or maybe..." His tail continued to thrash about happily as he pocketed the script and quickly began to replace the books on the shelf. After an hour or two of work Alex had finally managed to clean up enough of the room to satisfy himself for a good days work and hurried out of the auditorium, a huge grin on his face as he once again pulled out the script, scanning over it has he exited the school and started to head home.
