"Alright, that fucking wasn't fair!" Jason was storming around the auditorium, waving his script around angrily. "Frank is the fucker who get's to kill Nate????? How's that fair???"Chad grinned at his friend. "Heh, hey, but look at it this way, you got tied down by Lucy." Chad's reply was immediatly answered with a sharp blow to the head from Brandon. The windian was laughing as he ducked, rubbing his sore head. "Hey man, I didn't mean anything by it! Seriously!"
"That was a great play, love." Ellen smiled as she gave Alex a kiss. "Now then, what was this you were going to show us when we were done?"
"Huh?" Alex blinked for a second. "Oh! Right, yea, I was gonna show you how I managed to pull all of this off." The woren's ears flicked uneasily. "Right um... just.. wait here a sec and I'll be right back." The woren ran off behind the stage, leaving his cast and crew alone for a few minutes. He returned shortly, walking up onto the stage and addressing everyone else who was now standing in the audience of the auditorium. "Alright.... now um..... there's no real way to kinda explain this but.." rubbing the back of his neck lightly, the woren motioned and everyone else looked to see what he was talking about.
A young woren girl stepped out from behind the stage and walked over to the crowd. She gave a lopsided smile and waved to all present. "Hey."
All the cast and crew, save for Nate who had already seen this, stared in amazement.
"She... she looks like me?" Kate finally managed to stammer out, her tail waving in confusion.
It was true. The woren girl who had just stepped out from behind the stage looked a lot like Kate. However, there were some slight differences. First of all, the Kate look-alike was dressed in a denim jacket that hung open, showing her light grey shirt. She was also wearing dark blue jeans, and had on sandals that revealed her furry woren feet. Another, very subtle difference in the Kate look-alike was that her deep blue eyes did not echo the same innocence that seem to be shown in Kate's face. The look-alike chuckled, gave a wave of her tail, and walked over to where Kate was.
"Technically it's you who look like me." The look-alike gave a grin and studied Kate for a second. "You even have my name, actually. And you kinda act like me.... myah, well, just a little." She let out a light purr before grinning at the woren.
"Hey!" Tellka cut in suddenly. "Who are you anyway?"
"Huh?" The look-alike glanced up at Tellka. "Myah! Oh yea.. forgot you were here a second, sorry." Her ears batted lightly. "See, you're also based off of someone that I know... myah, although if you don't mind me saying, she's a lot scarier then you are." The look-alike gave out a little giggle. "Sorry, myah, if she heard me say that she'd give me a good whacking." She chuckled again. "Purrm, yea, anyway, you wanted to know who I am? I'll tell you, I'm the author." The look-alike gave a grin and then bowed. Everyone just stared at her in disbelief.
"Whoa... wait... wait a sec..." Jason shook his head and stared at the look-alike for a moment. "Did you just say you're the author????"
"Yea, that's right." The author turned and flashed Jason a grin. "I wrote this whole thing up, that's how Alex has been pulling off his little scene thing. I was too lazy to try and think up a more logical reason for it all to work out, so I just decided to cut a few corners and help him out on a more personal level." Her tail waved lightly. "Heh, technically you all are now meeting your maker. Well..." the author paused and started at the Persona Users. "Not you three... or you, or you, or you." While saying that she motioned to Cynthia, Ryan, and Chris. "But the rest of you, yea, you're all mine. Well... 'cept for Neko-Chan if she's still around." The author then looked around with a shrug.
"Uh.... wait... man, hold on a sec." Chad stepped up, scratching his head in confusion. "Alright, if you're the author, does that mean you wrote us all or something?"
"Well, yea." The author shrugged lightly. "Kind of a weird thought I guess, but don't let it bother you. You now books and plays, and all things like that.. someone had to write them for them to come into life. It's like that with you all." She let her tail wave lightly. "I wrote you, and now you're here. Although I've got some help to." She chuckled lightly. "I work with some people... myah, and who knows, maybe me and my friends are all just characters in someone elses story? Don't lose sleep over it or anything, if you want I can write this all out of your memory." The author gave a quick grin. "Myah, actually, I think I may do that after all, make it easier on all of us. Well, anyway, I've gotta run. More things to write, more inflatible dolls to pounce, things like that." With a wave of her tail the author hopped up onto the stage and disappeared behind one of the curtains.
Diane stared blankly up at the stage for a moment before turning to her brother. "... what was THAT?"
The woren started down at his sister innocently. "What was what?"
