Alex was walking through Windian Park as he read over the script, his tail continuing to lash about happily. This is great! The woren was thinking to himself. I can so see our school doing this play! A broad grin was plastered to Alex face as he imagined himself directing the play for the school. Although... the woren's tail waving faltered a bit as the thought. Who would I cast for this thing? At about that time Frank, Brandon and Lucy were out in Windian Park. Frank and Brandon had gone out to spar, and Lucy was sitting near them, reading a book of hers quietly as the two teens fenced. As Alex walked through the park, the sound of the clashing blades caused him to look up from his book and watch the two fighters for a moment. The woren paused as he watched Frank charge the windian, Brandon dodging the move and going for a counter attack which was blocked by Frank's own weapon. Alex shrugged to himself and kept walking, turning back to his script as he did so.
Alex arrived him almost an hour later, a huge grin on his face as he stepped into his house. He was greeted by his sister and his father staring at him in wonder."What's got you so excited suddenly?" Alex's father's gruff voice had a tinge of humor to it as Mr. Brandshire watched his son hold up the script.
"This!"
"Wha'? Tha' book?" Diane walked over to her brother to get a better look at what he was holding. Alex pulled the book away, hiding it behind his back and his sister gave him a startled look. "Hey!"
"Ah ah ah!" He grinned at Diane. "If you read it now it'll spoil it for later!"
"Wha'? Spoil wha'? Alex? Hey, Alex!" The two worens raced upstairs, Diane chasing after her brother in hopes to get at the book, Alex laughing as he continued to dodge his sister. Mr. Brandshire chuckled and shook his head at his two teens before he made his way out back to work.
* * * Alex had managed to lock his sister out of the door as the woren sat, hunched over with a piece of paper and a pen. He was busy scribbling down a few names, getting ideas for who he'd cast as who. He could his Diane pounding on the door outside.
"Bro! Come on! Lemme see it!"
Alex chuckled as he put Diane's name down on the list. "Not right now! You'll get your chance!"
"But tha's not fair!"
Alex chuckled again as he continued to think up names. This is too great, he thought to himself. I can't wait to see how this turns out. The woren was already running much of the play around in his head. He set down his pen and held up his list of names and spots in the play that needed filling, considering it carefully. "Alright... now who would fit where?" The woren thought back to the scene he had seen of Frank and Brandon in the park, fencing. With a chuckle he quickly wrote down each or their names next to a couple of the characters. "Why not... seems like it would fit." This process of casting continued on late into the night, and by the next morning Alex was ready to head to the school and find the victims he had chosen for the play.
