"Um... did you all find a flier in your locker today?" Janet was holding up a piece of paper as she stepped up to the WINGS group that was gathered around one of the benches of Windian High's courtyard. The group exchanged glances and nodded at Janet as Lucy spoke up."The one that said something about a play? Yea... we got those."
"Weird." Janet glanced down at her flier once more. "I'm not even in drama though... why would I get this?"
Chad shrugged as he glanced over his flier. "So? Man, don't look a gift horse in the mouth! It says auditions are today after school in the auditorium, so I say we all go!" Chad grinned. "I mean, wouldn't it be great to star in a play?"
"I can see the headlines now! Jason Burnhart stars in a play and Windian High! Millions of fangirls come at opening night to catch just a glimpse of the famous actor!" Jason continued to recite the article that would follow the headline as Janet glanced at her flier again.
"Yea... Jason? You may want to reword that headline into 'Jason Burnhart plays starring role as princess in The Princess Bride.'" She gave the windian a grin and Jason paused in his rant to scold at her. Chad laughed at he looked at his flier.
"She's right you know..."
"Whose side are you on anyway?" Jason snapped at Chad, causing the windian to laugh again.
* * * "Hey everyone!" Frank Maynard was walking over to his friends as they all stood around together in front of the school.
"Hey Frank!" Kate glanced up, smiling at him as he approached, her tail waving lightly.
"Hey Frank, I don't suppose you know anything about this?" Nate held up the flier for his friend to see. Frank nodded and reached into his pocket, pulling out an identical flier.
"Yea, I found this in my locker today. I have no idea why I got it though, I'm not even in the drama club here."
"Say," Ellen was glancing around. "Has anyone seen Alex today? I've been looking for him..."
"Alex?" Diane's ears perked suddenly and the group turned to the woren as a light went on over the woren's head. "Oh! This is wha' he mus' have been talkin' 'bout!"
"What?" Chris, the woren standing next to Diane ran a hand through his ink black hair. "What do you mean?"
"Bro came home las' night actin' all weird over some book tha' he wouldn' show me." Diane glanced down at her own flier and shrugged. "I have a feelin' he's got somethin' ta do with all of this..."
"Auditions in the auditorium after school, huh?" Frank read over his flier before he pocket it again. "Guess we'll have to go see what he's up to then."
Just then the bell rang, signaling for the students of Windian High to head into their classes. The group split up and went their seperate ways, each wondering about what the end of the day would bring.
