"I'd like to thank you all for coming..." Alex was racing back and forth across the stage, ducking behind a few curtains and shuffling around in some of the ropes and lights. Currently it was after school, and the list of students that filled the auditorium was Frank, Ellen, Nate, Ryan, Chris, Diane, Cynthia, Janet, Justin, Jason, Chad, David, Candice, Brandon, Lucy, Kate (who hadn't recieved a flier but had come in curiousity) and Alex, who was running across the stage as he did his best to adress the two teen groups that were seated in the first few rows of the auditorium before him. "I'm glad you've taken the time to-""Get to the point, furball." Candice rolled her eyes as she interrupted Alex. "Are we going to start auditions now or not?"
"Actually, miss bird," Alex grunted as he picked up a large cardboard box that was set behind one of the curtains and took it over to the front of the stage, dropping it with a -thud- and leaning over it to gaze at the windian he was addressing with a grin. "I've taken the liberty to cast you all already." The woren's tail began to wave rapidly as he pulled open the box and began shuffling through the packets of scripts inside. "Now if you all would just form a line up here I could give you all your-"
"What a second!" Candi's heated voice called out again. "You're telling me that I'm going to have to waste my time learning some stupid play just because you thought you could play director and cast me a part without me here?!"
"Oh don't worry," Alex grinned over at Candice before he pulled out a script that had her name marked on it. "I was sure to give you a small part so I wouldn't be wasting your precious time and having you memorize anything large." He tossed the script to the windian and it landed in her lap. She gazed down at it distastefully. "You'll find your lines highlighted." Alex continued as he shuffled through the box and began tossing out more scripts. Soon everyone but Kate was holding a large script and was looking over the play.
"Hey Alex..." Alex looked down to see Ryan gazing down at his script, the woren's tail and ears flicking in confusion. "You have two different parts highlighted for me?"
Alex nodded. "Yea, some of you guys are casted more then once because I needed to fill a few minor spots." Alex was busy putting away the box that he had been keeping the scripts in. Soon the woren director, a script of his own in his hand, heading off the stage and over to where his cast was now glancing over their lines. There was a thoughtful silence in the large room before it was broken by the sudden enraged cry of one of the Persona Users.
"I have to be...WHAT?! HELL NO!" Everyones eyes turned to Nate as the teen started down at his script in annoyance. The Persona User's scream of cry was echoed by a loud laugh from Jason as the red haired windian looked over his script and caught on to what Nate was complaining about.
"Oh yes... Hell yes..." Jason started laughing again and everyone looked from him to the disgruntled Nate in confusion.
"What?" Frank finally asked.
Nate jumped up from his seat and pointed at Jason who was still busy laughing. "I AM NOT PLAYING A PART UNDER THAT GUY!"
"Read it and weep, Persona User!" Jason jumped out of his seat as well, waving his script in Nate's face. "I get to command you around! Oh yea!" The windian did a little dance. Frank quickly moved to calm Nate as he caught sight of something like fire burning in the Persona User's eyes.
"Alright, come one you two, let's just finish looking over this script."
"Yea!" Alex pipped in. "I want to get practice for this thing started as soon as possible!"
The cast of students went back to reading over their lines. After another moment, Brandon's voice broke the silence.
"Um... Alex?"
"Yea?" Alex glanced at the black winged windian curiously. "What is it?"
"This script..." Brandon held up his script and shook it lightly. "You've got us casted so that I have to kiss my sister..." Brandon gazed over at Lucy he looked back up at him and the two windians turned their looks to Alex. The woren rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Yea well, see... I noticed that was a bit of a problem... but you two fit those parts so well and well," he shrugged. "We'll just right those scenes out, 'kay?" The siblings rolled their eyes and went back to reading.
