Scene 6The lights come on revealing a lightly forested scene, obviously just outside of the Fire Swamp. Brandon and Lucy are walking through the woods.
Lucy: *triumphantly* We did it!
Brandon: Now, was that so terrible?
Jason and Nate appear, stepping out in front of Brandon and Lucy as to stop them.
Jason: Surrender!
Brandon: *raises an eyebrow* You mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well then, I accept.
Jason: *rolls his eyes* I give you full marks for bravery. Don't make yourself a fool.
Brandon: Ah, but how will you capture us? We know the secrets of the fire swamp. We can live there happily for some time, so whenever you feel like dying, feel free to visit.
Justin, Ryan and Chris, dressed up as soldiers have been hiding behind a few of the scene trees. As Jason and Brandon argue, one by one each steps out with a crossbow to surround Brandon and Lucy.
Jason: I tell you once again, surrender!
Brandon: It will not happen! *Brandon draws his sword*
Jason: *shouting* For the last time, surrender!
Brandon: Death first!
Lucy: *glancing at all of the soldiers before interrupting* Will you promise not to hurt him?
Jason: *staring at Lucy* What was that?
Brandon: *echoing Jason's question* What was that?
Lucy: *speaking to Jason* If we surrender, and I return with you, will you promise not to hurt this man?
Jason: *considers Lucy uneasily for a moment before replying* May I live a thousand years and never hunt again!
Lucy: He is a sailor on the pirate ship Revenge. Promise to return him to his ship.
Jason: *shrugs* I swear it will be done. *Jason leans over and whispers to Nate* Once we're out of sight, take him back to Florin and throw him in the Pit of Despair.
Nate: I swear it will be done.
Lucy: *to Brandon* I thought you were dead once, and it almost destroyed me. I could not bear it if you died again, not when I could save you. *Lucy is taken by Ryan and Jason leaves with the two of them*
Nate: *to Brandon* Come sir, we must get you to your ship.
Brandon: *Chris and Justin start to surround Brandon. He barely glances at them before turning to Nate* We are men of action, lies do not become us.
Nate: Well spoken sir. *He motions for the guards to escort him away. Brandon notices Nate has six fingers.* What is it?
Brandon: You have six fingers on your right hand. Someone was looking for you...
Nate quickly knocks Brandon out with the hilt of his sword.
