Kate's story chapter twenty-four

"What do you want?" Tellka hissed angerly at Katt.

"I want to know what your whole attitude problem is. What's so wrong about Woren anyway?" Katt eyed Tellka who mearly growled in reasponse.

"Come on, Tellka. There has to be something.."

Tellka looked up at Katt with a flame in her eye. "That's none of your business." She grumbled out.

I kept glancing back and forth between the two. It was so interesting to see, they looked EXACTLY like eachother, minues the strips and fur coloring on Tellka I mean. It was like there was this good twin, bad twin scenerio going on between them.

"Well," Katt continued. "I think it is part of my business. You hate me, and I haven't even done anything to you!" Katt stopped spinning her staff and stood up straight. I blinked. Tellka was just a little bit taller then Katt, but other then that it was like seeing her argue in a mirror or something.

"Maybe it's what you haven't done.." Tellka growled, "that makes me treat you like this."

"What?" Katt gave her a confused look. "What the heck are you talking about?!"

Tellka looked at Katt with what almost looked like a grin on her face. "You don't even know.. do you? No one really does.."

Katt just looked at her with the same confused expression. "Don't know what? What the heck are you talking about????"

Tellka didn't reply, but a look of annoyance crossed her face. "I've had it with you 'destined children'. I'm sick and tired of walking through places and hearing about the 'destined cycle' or 'the Ryu's and Nina's' or 'the Goddess'. I'm fed up with hearing about all of you and how tough your journies must be, or how much of a burden it is to face the Goddess." Tellka snapped.

"Now wait just a minute.." Katt's eyes narrowed. "What the heck does Ryu and Nina have to do with all of this? You don't know what we had to go through, so don't go talking about it like-" Tellka cut her off.

"I don't even want to hear about how much a burden it must have been to save the world, okay? You think I'm sour around you just because you're a Woren? Well, I could live with a furball anyday if I had to." Tellka growled angerly. "It's bad enough that you have to be one of those, 'destined ones' that everyone is always talking about! You think that just because you fought a demon to save the world that you know what sacrifice is? You don't even know the half of it!"

I felt a click in me. That's why you're so mad, Tellka. It's not because she's Woren...

Tellka ignored me, she was too busy spouting off at Katt. I could see in Katt's eyes that Tellka's bashing of the destined cycle was kind of ticking her off. "What's your problem with us? You have no right to be saying those things, because you DON'T know what we had to go through! You don't know what it was like when we fought-"

Tellka cut Katt off again. "I don't care what you had to go through, what ever it was, it probably wasn't even half as bad as what you were supposed to go through!"

Katt blinked in confusion. "What?"

Tellka snarled again. "You don't even know what was planned for you, just like you don't even know the sacrifice I made for you-!" Tellka's mouth slammed shut and a look of realization flashed over her face.

"Did I just shout that out..?"

Yes....

"......... oops......." Tellka shook her head, and I could it looked like she was a little uneasy. She sighed. "Look, I'm not going to put up with this. You all don't seem to need me, so I'm just going to leave until you do."

"Tellka wait..." I tried to stop her, but she shifted into spirit form to quickly, and I could just stare at the space that she used to be standing in. I shifted on my feet uneasily, and looked up at Frank with a 'now what?' look on my face.
