Chapter 1

Lunarvale: a typical city. Complete with two shopping malls, a museum, a hospital, a police station, and a high school. Everything was great until today.

Today was the height of Guido Sardenia's carreer as the CEO of SEBEC, Lunarvale branch. Today was the day that he would use the Deva system for his plans. He knew what he was doing... and it would all start with Lunarvale.

His plans were set into motion. He started the Deva system without a hitch. Well, there was one problem. His little brother, Chris, had tried to stop him. Guido dealt with him personally.

Now there are six more students from St. Hermelin, his old high school, in the SEBEC building. What surprised him is that they were like Chris: each of them had the Persona, and were willing to use it if neccessary. He had told Tiny to take care of them, since both he and Tiny also had these powers. Thinking that everything was ready, he entered the room with the Deva system, and prepared for the next phase of his plan.

"Hey, Alex, are you ready?" Ellen asked the red headed youth.

Alex looked at his friends, thinking about what they have been through together. There was Ellen, a member of the fencing team, like himself. She had long blonde hair, and a look of exotic beauty that has been with her since she came back from abroad.

Then there was Nate, his rich friend who had been through so much since the day had begun. Nate was an arrogant youth, since his parents had not given him the love and support that was much needed as a child. He would have grown up cold hearted, but his butler, Alfred, gave him what his parents did not. Now the blond haired, glasses wearing youth is an honor student and the captain of the debate team at St. Hermelin. He was determined to stop Guido since it was his fault that Alfred was killed in the hospital by the zombies.

Mark... now he was one to think about. Although it seems that he and Nate don't get along, they truly are friends. Mark loves to dance, and has his own band called "Terrors". The African American boy is always getting into trouble in school, and is regarded as a spoiled brat by his parents. He shows that he doesn't care about his parents, but deep down he wants them to be safe.

Then we have Frank... a member of the fencing club like himself and Ellen. Frank loves to sing, just like Alex, and tell jokes. He has black hair, brown eyes, and black wire frame glasses. He is serious most of the time, but will go off the wall with his jokes in order to cheer everyone up. Right now, he is adjusting his uniform jacket and has a solemn look on his face.

Finally there is Mary... who shouldn't be standing here with her friends right now. She dissapeared along with the ER at Lunarvale General Hospital. She had been in the hospital for a year due to minor mental delusions- until today. After Alex, Yuki, Ellen, and Frank brought Mary's mother to the school, Mary appeared in the Gym walkway. She was now happier, which surprised most of her friends. She looked around nervously as she checked her Delta Storm bow and adjusted the ribbon in her hair.

"I'm ready if you are, Alex." Mary said as Alex was studying his companions.

"We might die, ya know. Not that I care if I die. But my old lady... I mean, my mom... I don't wanna imagine her crying over my dead body." Mark said in a quiet voice.

"This is for you, Alfred..." Nate told himself.

"Alex, I'm ready. Let's nail that scumbag and return Lunarvale to normal!" Frank said as he loaded his shotgun.

"All right. If we have to fight, I want everyone to be careful. OK?" Alex said.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Alex opened the metal door and proceeded in, with his friends in tow.

"Is the Deva system ready, Dr. Nicholas?" Guido asked in a devilish tone.

"Yes, Mr. Sardenia, but you should reconsider you actions." the old man responded.

"Nonsense! The human race has to atone for their sins. I'm just Virgil leading them to destiny." he shot back at Dr. Nicholas.

"You still didn't have to do that to that student! Why did you have to send him to the void between dimensions?!" The doctor's face was now red with rage. Unknown to the two men, the six students from St. Hermelin had entered the room, and heard their conversation.

"He was an insect. He was in my way, and I did what I had to do to stop him." Guido then smiled evily.

"Time to die, geezer!!!" Mark yelled from the back of the room.

Guido and Dr. Nicholas turned around and found six teenagers in battle stances across the room.

"Hmmph. So you brats managed to defeat Tiny, huh? I'm not surprised. The man was a weakling anyway." Guido said without feeling.

"Return the city to the way it was!!!" Nate said menacingly.

"Such manners! Didn't your parents teach you anything??? Why don't you go crying back to them, or that butler, whats-his-name?" Guido smiled again since he knew he hit a sore spot with Nate. Nate face turned red with rage, and he began to charge Guido. It took both Frank and Ellen to hold him back.

"I'll kill that arrogant piece of-" Nate really lost it, which was extremely unusual for him.

"Nate, calm down!" Ellen told him forcefully while holding his right arm.

"He's trying to upset you. He know's that he can kill you if you do something wrong." Frank said while holding his other arm. Ellen nodded in agreement, and Nate finally calmed down.

"Guido... Why??? You destroy the town, you make our school dissapear..." Mary started.

"And the innocent lives lost! What is the point of all this?" Alex finished.

Guido turned away. "I don't have time for this!!! Dr. Nicholas, is the system ready???"

"Yes, Mr. Sardenia." the doctor sighed, and both men entered the machine, sealing the doors behind them. Mark rushed up and banged on the doors, but got no results.

"DAMMIT, OPEN UP!!!" Mark yelled in rage as he pounded on the door.

"This machine... why does it look familiar???" Mary asked herself.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake. The students were trying to keep their footing as they heard voices come from the machine.

"My... my body!!! what's happening to me???" Guido yelled in shock.

"You are done for, Mr. Sardenia!!! I set the machine to scatter our atoms!" Dr. Nicholas stated.

"You bastard! I'll... I'll.." Guido began.

"Kids. get out of here! When the machine stops, the city should be normal again!"

"Hey kids... stop the machine and help the good doctor and me"

"The old doctor, giving up his life to help us... Let's help him! There's no reason he should die. He had nothing to do with this." Mark said.

"Hold it, Mark. We should honor the doctor's final wish." Nate said in his usual snobbish tone.

"Man, wassup with you, Nate??? Huh???" Mark said as a counterpoint.

"Hold it you two. We don't have time for you two to argue. So knock it off!!!" Frank said to both of them.

"Besides, how do we stop it?" Ellen asked.

"Alex, here!!! These buttons control the machine! The red one is the emergency stop while the blue one is a power boost!" Mary said excitedly.

"Mary... how do you know all this?" Alex said as he ran toward her.

"I don't know. But I do know it will work!" she continued. Alex wasted no time in hitting the red button. To his dismay, the machine just got worse.

"Oh no... something's interfering with the machine!!!" Mary said sullenly.

"HA HA! Yes!!! I can feel my body returning!!! Nothing can stop me!!!" Guido yelled.

"What happened??? Could it be that girl???" Dr. Nicholas yelled out.

A lightning bolt hit in front of the Deva System. Where the bolt hit, there was a young girl, about eight years old standing there. Alex, Mary, Nate, Mark, and Ellen approached her, while Frank stayed back.

"You losers tried to kill my daddy!" she yelled.

"It's her!!! The girl in black!" Mary got out. Everyone who could turned to look at her.

"No one can stop me!!! Take me to safety!!!!" Guido yelled.

"Yes daddy!!! ABRA KADABRA!" the girl yelled. There was a flash of light, and then Guido was gone.

"Now for you five. I'll send you somewhere where you can't bother him! ABRA KADABRA!!!" she yelled again. There was another flash of light, and the five students were gone.

Frank was in shock. First, Guido got away again, and now his friends dissapeared. He pulled out his rapier, and approached the girl. However, she noticed him.

"Another loser?! Well, I guess I have to do something else to you." she said evilly.

"What did you do to my friends?!" Frank asked angrilly. He put his rapier away and now opted for his shotgun.

"What does it matter? You won't see them for awhile!!! Disappear!!! ABRA KADABRA!!!" she yelled again. There was another flash of light, and now Frank was gone.

Alex woke up in an unknown place. He noticed his friends get up, and was relieved that they were OK.

"This is our gym... but it was torn down six months ago." Ellen started.

Alex suddenly panicked. "Wait... we're missing someone..." he said worriedly.

The group of five friends looked around and noticed that indeed someone was missing. As if on cue, all five of them realized who was gone.

"FRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*********************************************************

"Uhh...." Frank was in a grassy area. How he got there, he did not know.

Frank slowly drifted back to life. He slowly got up, and realized that he was no longer in SEBEC, or Lunarvale anymore. He looked around and noticed that he was in a park, in front of a fountain with an angel on it. Frank nearly facefaulted when he realized that the angel looked like his angel persona.

"Alex... where are you guys?" he asked. He then noticed that there were not only humans, but winged humans as well as catlike people, walking fishmen, and other assorted beings in... wherever he was.

"I guess I'm not in Lunarvale anymore. But... where am I and how to I get home???" Frank said to himself. He didn't notice that people were staring at him, since a blue portal did drop him off here. He was too busy thinking about what he should do in this new place.
