Chapter 2

The first thing that Frank had decided to do was get up and explore this new place that he was in.

"It's only logical.." Frank was saying to himself as he checked his equipment. "That I go out and explore a little. I mean, I don't even know where that girl sent me."

Frank finished checking his gear. Other than the fact that his uniform was a bit messed up, everything was fine.

"Okay, I have my rapier, my shotgun, 5 bloodorbs, 5 ripobitans, and enough ammo to last me an eternity. I'd better watch it, though. I don't have a lot of medicine, and my Personas aren't charged fully yet." he thought to himself. Frank then walked out of the park and began to explore.

He walked off in one general direction, taking in the sights and the strange new people who lived in this city. What really surprised Frank was the people: cat people, angels, fish people, monkey people, dog people, wolf people, and even nagas! Of course there were humans as well, but they just didn't interest him. He was also relieved that nothing attacked him, which has happened a lot since his day began.

All the walking that Frank had put in finally lead him to a huge colliseum. Of course, Frank looked up at it and whistled a long, drawn out whistle. He then noticed the sign, beside the entrance.

"Windia Colliseum..." he said to himself. "Maybe it's just a hunch, but could I be in a city called Windia?" Frank's last statement to himself had a little bit of sarcasm to it. He then walked in, and decided to explore a little more.

As he entered the colliseum, he stopped at to take a look at his surroundings once again. He noticed the different banners on the walls, a reception desk with an angel seated at it, and different rooms to each side of the desk. He also noticed a listing of fights near the desk, and found it to be a bit empty, save for two names: Kate and Tellka.

"Only two entries?" he thought to himself. Frank turned to the receptionist. "Excuse me, miss. Can you tell me what time it is?"

"A little after eight." She replied all too enthusiastically. "You look like you could fight. Would you like to sign up?" she added.

"Excuse me?" Frank asked with a curious tone.

"You know... Fight in the arena, make some zenny... maybe even become famous!" she replied excitedly.

Frank folded his arms and began to think.

"First off, how did you know that I could fight?"

"The weapons that you have... the rapier and that other thing..."

"Oh yeah..." Frank thought for a little bit before continuing.

"I'll... think about it. Thanks for the offer, though." he replied.

"All right. Just come back here if you want to enter." she told him.

Frank nodded once and decided to explore the rest of the colliseum. He was about to enter a room when he heard voices from within.

"That's odd..." He thought to himself. "I wouldn't think that there would be people here this early." The voices began again and this time, curiosity got the best of Frank. He leaned toward the door to listen in.

"Finally... I found her.." one voice said with a tinge of venom.

"Who, master?" said a weaker voice, like that of a servant.

"That woren female that escaped me in the forest." venom continued.

"Woren???" Frank thought to himself. He then turned his attention to the conversation inside.

"The one whose parents you took?" servant asked.

"Of course, wingless idiot!" venom continued. There was also the sound of someone being hit.

"I'm sorry-" servant was cut off.

"Quiet, numbskull! I think someone is listening in on us." venom continued.

"Crap..." Frank muttered to himself. He looked around for a hiding place, and decided on hiding behind a pillar. He made it safely behind as soon as the door opened. Frank peeked around the column and saw a man in fine clothing. He also had bright red wings.

"... must have been my imagination." He stepped back into the room and closed the door firmly behind him. Frank sneaked back to the door and listened in once again.

"Anyway, as I was saying, I intend to get that girl. Her mother's skin alone brought in a lot of money." venom continued.

"How do you plan on doing that, Master Redwing?" servant asked. At this point, Frank had a look of disgust and shock on his face.

"Simple. During her fight, I will have someone shoot a needle at her. This needle will have a knockout drug on it. When she is out cold, You jump out from the crowd and finish her off." Redwing continued.

"Who will fire the needle?" servant asked.

"You will. I will not tolerate failure. I will be watching from my private seat." Redwing finished.

Frank backed away from the door, in total shock. He could not believe what he had just heard. He realized that this person sounded like Guido Sardenia back in Lunarvale.

"I... I can't let anything like that happen to anyone. What can I do, though?" Frank folded his arms again and started to think once more. Slowly but surely, a smile appeared on his face.

He approached the receptionist again with a look of seriousness on his face.

"I would like to enter." he said to the receptionist.
