Chapter 27

"AHHHHHH!!!!! Oof!!!!!" I landed in Agua, but it wasn't very pretty... I landed on my butt... but not after rolling a few feet from where ever I was supposed to land.

I slowly picked myself up from the floor, and rubbed myself. That hurt. It'd probably be worse in the morning. I looked around to get a good glimpse of Agua.

Odd... I thought it wouldn't be enclosed like this....

Persona Winlan: I guess that they didn't want to change out a place in history....

Hmm? I didn't see anything in the books about that. Care to shed some light on it for me, Nina???

Nina: Of course. When I was alive, I went through here. Back then, it was known as the floating island of Agua, and was located near Romero.

Romero? How far was that from Windia?

Nina: It was a pretty good walk.

Then how'd Agua end up here???

Nina: That's a good question. Maybe the people of Winlan... er... Windia... hold it as a historical landmark?

Maybe so... And from what I can gather... People may live here too. And those cathedrals they built... breathtaking.... I'll look around later. It's getting late. I'll have to find an inn...

As I looked, I noticed a complete lack of lighting. The sun didn't get in here that much either, from what I could gather. There are windows scattered around various alleys, or hallways, I guess. But when I looked out, the sun had already set. I needed to find an inn.

Now's the time I wish I had Nate and his flashlight.

Fortunately, I happened across an inn. One right across from a cathedral. After looking at the sign, I knew I was going to be staying at Angel's Haven.

Nice name...

So I entered the inn, and noticed that it was much different than out in Agua. In fact, the place was well lit. Very nice.

I payed for my room, and headed upstairs. I was due in for some much needed sleep. Ever since I left Lunarvale, that is something that I have severely missed out on.

Lunarvale... Man... I miss home... Mom? Dad? Are you ok?

Katt: Frank... I'm sure they'll be ok. If they're anything like you, they will be ok.

Thanks Katt.

So I entered my room, changed, and went straight to bed. I'll just eat in the morning.

***************************************************************

Mmmm I looked around. What? Where... where am I?

It was... empty, to say the least. Where was this?

Then it came. Memories... Things I experienced... brief glimpses of past events. When I first moved to Lunarvale... My friends and me escaping the demon filled hospital... Seeing Kate for the first time...

Kate... on man... I hope you are ok. What are you doing now?

Then she appeared. The blue winged angel.

"Hey! Are you... are you doing this to me???" She just simply shook her head.

"Who... who are you?" I asked. I think, honest to God, that for the first time in a long while, I was truly scared.

"Please Frank... You are the one... I need your help...."

Whoa! How'd she know who I am?

"Frank... please... I brought you here... for a purpose... Please... I need your help..."

"Wait! How'd you know who I was? If I don't even come from Windia?!"

She just smiled at me. "You seemed to be the best choice, besides Alex. Alex needed to be there." Then she stopped smiling. "I need your help, Frank. Please!"

"Who... who are you? And why do you need me?"

"Please! I know.. If you help me, I can find them."

"Find who???"

I looked up again, and got a better look at her. She seemed to be my age, and blue seemed to be her favorite color. I guess it was approprate, since she had blue wings and hair.

"I can't tell you now. You will find out soon, though."

"Hey.. wait! Where are you going? WAIT!!!!"

***********************************************************************

I shot up in my bed. By now, it was morning. Probably about the time that I usually get up. God... Who is that? Why does she need my help?

I was confused, to say the least. Now I know what she meant by I am the one. But now, I've got more questions to be answered. It seems like, for every question I get answered, more just pop up into place.

I stretched, and noticed my uniform folded on top of the dresser. I'm not surprised, since I did pay to have it cleaned.

So I cleaned up, changed, and headed downstairs to eat. While I was eating, I pulled my map out of my pack, and looked at it. As luck would have it, it was only a map of Central Windia.

Just my luck. I'm on my own here.

I sighed, and folded my map again. Wait... there was a cathedral across from the inn. Maybe... I should start there.
